Ok, so one team has some chickens and a rooster now (cant remember who won them) What do you think they should do with them? From the previous survivor when they got chickens i thought of what i would want to do. I think keep them around for a day or two and get some eggs to go with meals then kill one of them every couple days maybe so you get the meat, and still get eggs from those still alive. But....Jeff made the good point that if they keep them around they could attract unwanted visitors and i would be terrified if i were on watch and group of lions started stalking the camp. so what would you guys do? keep them for a few weeks or kill them all off right away and have a feast? karen

If I had the heart I would probally kill them off slowly to use for food if I had to..... But I can tell you if some big crazy lion came towards me or my camp I would be throwing chickens at them LOL sorry to be so cruel ... ![]() But honestly if I could get by without having to kill any of the chickens or rooster I would just try to survive on the eggs...

Kill the rooster right away. But I have a question do the show supply the chickens with feed? They can't turn them loose to scatch to get something so what do the chickens eat. If them don't give them chicken feed they would have to eat them quick.

On the last show they did supply them with chicked feed. The tribe found out that by roasting the seed it tasted pretty good. Does anyone know how many eggs a chicken lays a day? I would eat the rooster right away. |

i guess the assumption is that the rooster is for eating right away. why else would they need the rooster?? so i guess that guy will be gone soon. i'm with you hmsram, i would be tossing those chickens also if those lions started coming near. even with someone or two on duty if a group, or pride, of lions came towards the camp becuase they smell food, and they have got to be smelling those folks by know i dont know that they could keep them away.also with the twist of possibly not merging you may want to keep the chickens longer. remember other shows they ate the chickens before the merger so they wouldnt have to share. what if they group with the chickens dont realize they arent merging and eat them all right away???? more than 1/2 a chicken each sounds pretty good when you are hungry.
