| The Bachelor: Rome starts tonight! And it's featuring a real prince! (Here's hoping for a fairy-tale ending. ) I know this series has its predictable and sappy moments, but personally, I never tire of the quest for true romance, even if it is via reality TV.... Is anybody else looking forward to this next installment? ![]()

| Re: The Bachelor: Rome My hubby and I watched this last night... we had a feeling that girl that got the first rose (the tree hugger) made a big impression on the prince, my husband was saying she will be the one to win! These shows amuse me. My husband doesn't like to watch reality shows, but we seem to always watch the bachelor shows (I wonder if it is because of the pretty girls)hmmmm??? |

| Vittorio on The Bachelor I just heard that Vittorio is going to be performing on the Bachelor next Monday the 16th! I cant wait to see him perform. I love his new album. Especially the cover of Kean's "Bedshaped" that he does. My boss at UMGD let me borrow the cd over the weekend and I havnt stopped listening to it yet. Take a listen to some of the tracks and tell me what you think... [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

| Re: The Bachelor: Rome Hehe, yes, Erica is some piece of work, isn't she?!? They always have to have one drama queen, it seems, and she certainly qualifies! I wasn't too sure about this season after the first breathless "every girl wants to be a princess" episode, but it's definitely grown on me. I like Lorenzo. He seems very down to earth, fun loving yet sensible--like he's having a blast, truly savoring it all, but not losing sight of why he's there. I was really impressed that he was so forthright with Jami; that had to have been very difficult, yet it was a realistic and mature decision, and he handled it with grace and tact. I'm also glad he didn't end up sending Sadie home. ![]()

| Re: The Bachelor: Rome I think it's hilarious--and more than a bit ironic--that they've chosen to bring Erica back in, of all things, a judgmental role! My favorite so far is Sadie. She seems genuinely sweet and, well, genuine. I'm not finding nearly as much fault with Lisa as the other contestants are, so I can only assume that, as is always the case, there's lots going on behind the scenes that we're not seeing. Unless they're just jealous because the connection was so obvious from the beginning, and Lisa took on sort of a frontrunner role early in the "game," which would contribute to making her a target of hostility. Everybody hates her, though, more than would be attributable to her seemingly preferential status, I think, and it does look like some interesting revelations will come up on the hometown visit.I can't fathom why Lorenzo has kept Agnese when they can barely carry on a conversation. The physical chemistry must be very strong, although we haven't seen much of that either. She seems like a nice girl, but I don't see how he can possibly really get to know her when verbal communication is so fraught with difficulty. Again, the hometown visit looks like it should be interesting! I found Lorenzo's reaction to Jeanette's "wish" to be a little baffling as well. I saw it as thoughtful, especially when she could have wished for a rose but opted not to travel that path in that way. (I wonder if she's kicking herself now!) He saw it as a cop-out, maybe, I guess, because she didn't feel comfortable, given carte blanche, to ask for what she truly wanted most. It seems like this season is just zipping by--only a few more weeks to go!

| Re: The Bachelor: Rome This past week's show was the usual catch-up-with-the-spurned program, and I have to say that Erica is, um, one of a kind LOL; she has truly made this season memorable! It's down to the wire now--just Sadie and Jen remain. Either would be a great choice, in my opinion. With the way Lorenzo described his feelings toward the two of them, I think he'll pick Jen, but these shows often slant the clips to mislead the viewers so that there's a "surprise" ending, so who knows? ![]()

| Re: The Bachelor: Rome SPOILER ALERT!! (So if you haven't watched the finale yet, beware.... )And so... Jen it was. I felt really sad for Sadie (and equally happy for Jen and Lorenzo). The last show is always both sad and joyful. It must be incredibly wrenching for the woman who is sent, however caringly, packing. I always feel sorry for the picker, too, because even though it goes against all laws of romance that someone could truly be agonizing over this final decision--if they've come to fall in love, how could they not have a clear preference at this point?!?--it somehow seems like they always are, and not just because they have to reject one; it seems that there's rarely a frontrunner going into the final show because anyone who has been able to stick around for that long is, almost by definition, a serious prospect for whom genuine caring has developed. I really enjoyed this season, and in the afterglow, it seems impossible that the next bachelor (for spring '07) has already been announced--a Navy doctor who's also an IronMan competitor.... ![]()
