Re: The Amazing Race - DISCUSSION thread

Well that was a little surprising to see Peter & Sarah leave the race. I'm still waiting (and hoping) the moms leave soon. Their poor sportsmanship (beyond what you would expect/accept from playing the game) has made me dislike them very much. You'd think Erwin/Godwin would rub off on them some. I haven't been an avid watch of AR throughout the years, but these brothers have to be one of the best sportsmanship teams they've had...in everything they do--it's not just about winning to them.

Okay-Okay, so the fake phone call on the train (for Peter's sake) was a little non-nice...but it was funny;p Even though Peter benefited from it....

I hope Lyn&Karlyn are eliminated next week and then Rob/Kim the following week.....I'd be happy

Re: The Amazing Race - DISCUSSION thread

I have to agree about Erwin and Godwin--they clearly jeopardized their own standing in the race just to help David and Mary, and I was so glad that the gamble paid off for both teams. I'm most annoyed with the beauty queens, who are underhanded in their poor sportsmanship, again, I think, well beyond the level of duplicity expected in a "game" like this. The Alabama moms are at least open about it--what you see is what you get. The beauty queens smile and charm and deviously manipulate, but they're just as nasty. They merely look better while they're doing it....

Re: The Amazing Race - DISCUSSION thread

Thank goodness Peter and Sarah are out of the race. At first it seemed like they weren't going to focus on her leg at all but after a while I got sick of seeing her trying to catch up with him and him yelling "Come on Sarah!". Same footage over and over just different times and places. And every time there was climbing to be done there was Sarah! OK, its sad you have this to deal with and you've dealt with it admirably, but there are people with worse problems! Get over yourselves! And he was more annoying than she was, Mr. look-at-me-I'm-a-brilliant-handsome-doctor! Oooooh! I feel better now! LOL

Re: The Amazing Race - DISCUSSION thread

Wow--David and Mary dodged yet another bullet! That's almost unbelievable luck.

I have to say that there's more conflict between teams than I've ever seen. Not that there haven't been rude comments and unsportsmanlike conduct before, but this season seems particularly contentious. And there always seems to be at least one couple who continually lose it with each other, and this time, it's Rob and Kimberly. It was uncomfortable enough to put up with Peter's constant pressure on Sarah, as karalk noted above, but I literally cringe each time I hear Rob and Kim screaming at each other, and it almost seems, at times, like it's on the verge of getting physical.

The beauty queens bug the heck out of me, and I'm ready to see "the 'Bama girls" go, too. I've really changed my opinion on them. They're benefitting from an alliance when they have no real intention of reciprocating. Yes, it's a competition, and I'm sure they'd rationalize that they're being selfish to help their families; the Chos and Kentucky are going to get a rude awakening, though, when they almost inevitably get screwed over. I'd be happy if either of those two teams ends up the winner; they've played a clean game and shown a lot of heart.

Re: The Amazing Race - DISCUSSION thread

I agree with you about the bama girls, although I felt bad when the blondes helped the guys get their tickets before them.
I'm feeling silly for admiring the Cho's so much because really they have an agenda and weren't helping David and Mary just to be nice. Although they do have better ethics than most.
I want David and Mary to win but I think its unlikely.

Re: The Amazing Race - DISCUSSION thread

i really don't see dave and mary going much further. they are a bit slow in making decisions and getting things done. they hmmmed and hawwed too much when the fast forward came up and they wasted time in deciding about the salt as well. i think when you choose one task you should stay there nad see it out. they wasted more time in driving to the other place and could have found the salt shaker before the other folks got the flag, but then again not. guess that is a choice you need to make. since david and mary are going to be out next week i hope the cho brothers break their alliance with the bama moms and go all out and win the whole thing. they really deserve it.

wasn't that funny when rob fell and kim yelled at him asking him what he was doing. I would have told her i decided to lay down and take a nap. it just looked so ridiculous on tv i bet she is cringing watching this now.

Re: The Amazing Race - DISCUSSION thread

Looks like to me from the commercials that the teams will have some sort of contact (¿email/chat?) with the outside world--probably family/friends. Whatcha think? And if so, will there be a decision that is needed to be made or part of a challenge, or is it just some special gift that they are presented with?

Well, the 6-pack is down to a 4-pack...and hopefully will soon be a 2-pack. But, hopefully that 2-pack will make it all the way....now that they don't have those other 4 slowing them down.

Re: The Amazing Race - DISCUSSION thread

I'm so sad to see Erwin and Godwin go! I was hoping they would make it all the way. It's probably going to be a good showdown between Dustin/Kandice and Tyler/James for the final two.

I was even more sad....I was hoping they'd do well also...but more importantly LOL I had picked them to win AR and also in the Survivor cross-over question (so I just lost all those points I had collected). Oh well, no chance for me to win either contest now....

It looks that way. And at least I think I said there will be 3 males/3 females in the final (I hope). And after those obnoxious bama mommas get ousted next, I'll at least have those points. LOL

Poor Cho brothers. They were just too nice for this game!

Did anyone see them on any of the early morning shows? I wonder what they said.

Re: The Amazing Race - DISCUSSION thread

Good show tonight.

I think I would be happy with any team winning BUT Rob/Kimberly. I just don't care for them.

I also don't get why neither of the first two teams to arrive yielded the blondes? I thought that was their plan and then they just dropped it.

Re: The Amazing Race - DISCUSSION thread

Yeah, although I missed that part on TV, I was surprised to hear that. And I was also stunned that Bama which was far in the lead got there last; then the girls got to the detour last.....what a show, huh?

Rob/Kim definitely turned on the watchers I think (basically a repeat of colleen and what's her name) lol. But I really dislike Bama...and never liked James/Tyler either. So, by default, Dustin/Kandice have become the team I am going to root for.....nice start (after my team Erwin/Godwin left) for them to finish last, huh? LOL But, I knew it would be a non-elimination leg, that is I had hoped and counted on it being one Whew!

Hopefully they'll overtake 'em all next week and send Bama packing....and then the girls will sail on to victory
