This new "twist" is sure generating a lot of controversy and - more importantly - publicity for CBS. Looks like they're doing whatever it takes to increase viewership on Survivor after last season's low ratings.

I, for one, have enjoyed every Survivor I've watched (I've missed a couple, but have been faithful to most), and even if it's nothing more than a ratings ploy, I'm really looking forward to seeing how the new twist plays out. I thought the men vs. the women was an interesting concept; this one could be even more so!

I'd say that reality TV is my "guilty pleasure" if I felt any guilt whatsoever, but, well, I just don't!

I thought the 1st few seasons of Survivor were really good, but I think it's about run its course. Unlike the Amazing Race, which always has new cities and tasks to keep it fresh, I'm finding Survivor kind of boring. I don't think I'll watch anymore.

I will continue to enjoy both Survivor and Amazing Race on my newly fuzzy tv (cable cancelled) I love new twists and look forward to how this one plays out. If anyone is willing to do a contest just say so. I am unable to continue with the contests, as I had planned until very recently.

Can anyone else run a contest? I would offer to do it but with two young children it would be hard for me.

Hi Shaina and all....I replied to your BB7 post a while ago, and now I see this one. Since it doesn't look like many are able to do the contest, I will volunteer. Hopefully I'll do a decent job of it.....definitely not as good as Liz, but will give it a shot! Since both Survivor and Amazing Race are almost here, I can start up both of them. I think it'll be fun...


I think it is too late to set up any points for tonight's episode, so people can just watch it and get a feel for the people and tribes, and I'll post question(s) for points sometime after the show.

I'll try to follow Liz's idea of having a "contest question/answer" thread only and another "discussion" thread, if the participants allow it.

It's the wee hours on Thursday morning now; I'll go set these threads up and let people know they will be there. And now and throughout the contest, any suggestions, comments, questions, points-ideas, etc. are welcome.
