I was not surprised to see Paris in the bottom two. It doesn't seem like her fan base is that big. People are nuts about Chris, Taylor and Katharine it seems like.

Daiquiri-I'm not as decided compared to the previous two years as to who might end up the overall winner-last year Carrie Underwood really impressed me, and I did buy her CD..this year Im not as impressed-don't get me wrong they all are talented. Without hearing next weeks competition-do you think that a guy will be voted off or will paris go? If it is a guy prob. Elliott just based on what I had written in earlier post about Chris & Elliott splitting voters-that would allow the final three to be Katharine-Chris-Taylor.

What an interesting and great episode.

I knew that Elliott had to be 2x as good last night as anyone else to be a contender and HE WAS!!!!

Katharine was not good. It is kind of unfair this season that the women have had to sing Queen songs and Elvis songs where they are at a disadvantage.

Anything can happen tonight. I think Taylor is the only truly safe one IMO.

I agree, he thought he was safe. My favorites are Taylor and Elliott so now maybe one of them has a chance. I am not fond of Kat at all and I don't know why. My 10 year old son loves her.

Personally, I'm glad Chris lost. I think Elliott has a much better voice and I'm afraid for him next week. Katharine really blew it, but somehow she seems to hang in there. Maybe it's admiration from the young girls who are voting for her.

well I have decided to give up watching American Idol. Seems every year there is an upset. Last year Bo got the boot and he was a favorite to win and now Chris, even Kat dropped her jaw when he got the boot.
Oh and let us not forget the Fantasia year lol

My daughter watches this show and I give her the Wednesday night updates, since it is on too late for her, but I really dont like this show. I think when they get down to the final 4 or so they should have some professional judges on to add to the vote. Yes popularity is going to matter in selling the records but I think a professional record producer needs to hear them and he/she would know if they are going to sell as well. Kat messing up the other week should have gotten her voted off. If she was on tour and did that there would be a riot (maybe not but people would be pissed) It isn't right that the others can memorize their words and sing real well but they get voted off. I hope Taylor wins the whole thing. I dont think Kat deserves to win at all!!
