Re: American Idol

I like eveyone that is on the show this year. I told my ds that I would feel bad for whoever got voted off. I really like Kevin but he was the right one to go next.

Re: American Idol

Thought for sure Bucky would be in the bottom three this past week. Surprising to see Katharine.

I had a feeling that Lisa would be going home though.

Re: American Idol

who do you think is going to make it the farthest? I think Chris and Elliot will make it far and I think Kellie has a following becuase of her innocence and tough childhood so i think those 3 will make it to the end.

i really liked mandisa. sad to see her go. i think kathrine has to go next. she bugs me for some reason. bucky isnt my favorite either so i wouldnt be too sad to see either of them go.

Re: American Idol

Bye bye Bucky. I was actually thinking Ace would go tonight. I guess you never know.

Rafala-I think you are right about Chris and Kelly but not sure about Elliott. I really like him (Elliott) though. Taylor seems to have a big following too.

Re: American Idol

Bye bye Ace. He was just out of his league.

How did Kellie make top 3? This show is such a personality contest!

Re: American Idol

It is TV free week this week and my kids decided to participate but i told them they could have a 1 hour pass to watch one tv show, I figure they are really minimizing the amount of tv they are watching and 1 hour is really no big deal. so my daughter, 9 years old, had to decide on American Idol and survivor. When I told her AI was going to be love songs, by some guy I had never heard of, she chose survivor. good choice I think. she goes to bed at 9pm so she doesnt get to see the elim round so i always tell her who the bottom 3 were and she checks on line as soon as she gets up to see who left. so she wont miss too much really.

enjoy the show.

Re: American Idol

It isn't just young people who watch because I've been hooked since it started! I was pleased to see Ace go, and tomorrow I have a feeling it might be Kelley, but who knows? It's anybody's guess. My disappointment so far was Mandisa losing, but I think she'll still get something from it. Right now my feeling is that Katharine will be the ultimate winner.

Re: American Idol

I think a guy will win this time.
I don't know about Kellie going home....she and Taylor have NEVER been in the bottom 3 even. I don't know why she wasn't in the bottom three last week.

rafala- your daughter made a good choice.
I'd pick Survivor any day of the week. (Now if I had to choose between Survivor and "24", then I'd have some problems!)

Re: American Idol

I watch it with my kids - of course they're zeroed in during the tryout weeks, but lose any interest once the real talent is targeted. I think Chris & Elliot are really talented, and Katherine as well. Although, I don't see Katherine doing much pop. However, it would be nice to have a female "crooner" around these days!
As for personality, Taylor's got my vote. What a sweet guy he is.

Mandisa was a fave, but she's got an awesome singing career already, with Beth Moore's conferences.

(I was so happy to see Ace leave!)

Rafala, I think Andrea Bocelli is the guest advisor this week. They aren't doing his songs, but he is giving them direction, from what I understand. You've no doubt heard him, just don't remember his name. He is an amazing opera singer.

Re: American Idol

If last weeks performance didn't get Kellie in the bottom three, I'd hate to think how she'd have to sound to get there. I don't think Kellie's going anywhere anytime soon. She seems to have a really large fanbase. Paris is really talented, but I don't think she has a big fanbase. I think Paris may be the next to go.

Thought I would pop in-Have been watching Idol every week. I think the fans have voted well the Final 6 IMO deserve to be. Seems like the Judges were pushing for a Female to go this week..Paris seems vulnerable just because of her age factor. The interesting part is whether Chris or Elliott would depart before Taylor-my thinking is that you would think Chris & Elliott are drawing from a similiar taste of voters while Taylor's voice is more like a Ray Charles type of singer with a Southern Twang. Anything about the rumors which seems to happen every year in regards to ballot box stuffing(phone) with folks voting for Kellie? I believe last year when the rumors reached a peak that person was voted off. I'm hoping for either Chris or Elliott to get knocked off tonight, but my gut says Paris.

Re: American Idol

It's really a guessing game now, don't you think? Tonight I thought it would be Taylor because of the placement on the stage. I was wrong--again! Did anyone hear what the song selection is for next week?

Re: American Idol

songs from the year they were born or top songs from now I think is what I heard for next week. No special person coming in to help them.

Good choice to go last night. i am always surprised when Paris is in the bottom though. I think she has a wonderful voice and her age shouldnt matter.

Re: American Idol

From the American Idol website:

The Final 5 will be performing two songs each – one from the year they were born and any song from this week’s Top 10 Billboard Charts
