I have to say.....(announcement re:contests)

I am sad about it, but I find that I have to stop running the contests here on DOD effective the end of this Amazing Race and this Survivor. I have enjoyed running them immensely, but financial concerns have gotten in the way of my prize system (2 car wrecks, a new furnace and a new hot water heater in just 4 months) and I have been really cramped for time now that I work longer hours and have gotten back into a regular exercise routine. (Not to mention baseball has started....and you are probably aware that baseball is one of my passions)
I will continue to enjoy discussing The Amazing Race, Survivor, American Idol, Big Brother etc. on DOD. I hope all you Reality fans will continue to do so also. Perhaps someone else will volunteer to run a contest. It could be just for fun, prizes are not really a necessity in my mind.

You run the BEST contests and make watching the shows a lot more fun and interesting. I'm sad to hear this but I completely understand.

I would take over the contests but with a new baby joining our family in July I don't think I can reliably do it just yet. Hopefully someone else can do it. Is the next Big Brother starting this summer?

I'm really sad to hear this, it won't be the same without a Chippers contest. I have always been amazed by how much time and energy you put into the contests, not to mention your generosity. I don't think I have the time to run the contests at this time. I hope there is some one who would like to do it and has the time.

Thank you for doing such a great job with the different contests you have done. I don't know how you keep track of everything because I can't even keep track of my own guesses. Thank you for all your hard work.

Chippers, I am so sorry that you won't be running any more contests. You make the whole thing so much fun. Thank you for all your hard work. I don't think that we need prizes. Aren't we all just looking for the glory?
I could give it a try but would need a co- worker as I travel a lot and sometimes miss several episodes.
