Last night Amazing Race was bumped by a college basketball game (between 2 ACC teams no one here cares about, as we are all Carolina, Duke, or NC State fans) to, get this, 1:37 AM!!!!!
I did not set an alarm, but my internal alarm went off at,get this, 1:35 AM, and I went downstairs to watch it. Can you believe that???

About the show: Jonathan's complete nastiness continues to amaze me, as does Adam's childishness- but that could be because Rebecca is so sure of herself in comparison. Hayden seems more and more demanding and obnoxious. I love Aaron. He is my new favorite on the show. Jon and Kris continue to get along so well, despite any problems, that I do believe they are the most well-adjusted couple still on the show. Who are you all rooting for to win this thing? And who do you hope goes next week?

Well I had to work from 6:30 - 9:30 and I brought an ANTENNA to work. I plugged it into the TV and spent 10 minutes to try and maneuver it and got somewhat good reception...then I see BASKETBALL. Oh well after work I decided to go see a movie since I had to stay up until 1:37AM and yep I watched it last night too!!

Jonathan and Victoria are driving me nuts. At first it was semi-entertaining. Now it's just geting old. I don't think Victoria is an angel either because she sure knows how to be dramatic and seems to egg him on. Hayden bugs me like no tommorow. She was being a complete you know what this leg...I don't know how Aaron puts up with her!

In the preview for next weeks episode..this is what, the 3rd time they've used something about Adam and Rebecca's "relationship." That storyline is getting a little old. We know it's not going to work out. The end.

I also hate all the baby, baby, baby. It drives me crazy. Hattielee you really don't have to pull out of the contest. You are very good at this, and I stink but you deserve to win if you have the most points. Now if we ever have a contest for the worst guesses I will win hands down. LOL At least it looks like someone yells at Jonathan to go help his wife next week. I really could not tell how she was hurt but I'm glad someone said something. I don't think I could keep my mouth shut around someone like Jonathan. I also don't like Kendra and Freddy. They are both not very nice people. Is there really so many models running around that they have to have so many on this show? Or can just about anybody call themselves a model? I think I want Kris and Jon or Bolo and Lori(?) to win. Anyone but Jonathan/Victoria or Freddy/Kendra.

No,Shaina it has nothing to do with anything you said, I know it's all in fun. I told Chippers after I won the last Survivor that I wanted to play Amazing Race just for fun.

Just want to re-emphasize for all of you that Hattielee told me this some time ago and I just decided I would do the same thing, because I would like to see it be a contest that goes right down to the last episode. So...just enjoy the competition and the show.

I am so glad that someone else noticed the baby thing. I was wondering if I was that out of touch with things. It is driving me nuts-especially last night. I was so afraid that Aaron and Hayden would be eliminated. They are my favorite, but then Aaron went to the same high school as my youngest.

Do you any of you read the Television Without Pity recaps? They are HILARIOUS! Literally, I laugh out loud when I am reading them. A little language but they are very funny.

I really liked Lori and Bolo also. they yelled at each other alot but you could tell it wasnt in hate, just frustration and tiredness. whereas jonathon and victoria i didnt see the love there. I really wish the 2 whiners would come in last. I hate that they didnt lose last night. She is saying sh e doesnt want to be with him anymore every show and when he gets frustrated and wants to quit she acts all put out but 10 minutes later she is all pouty and wanting to just call it quits. of course there was too much foreshadowing with them last night. toooo many times they came back to them saying we are in last we are going to lose tonight, etc...

that baby thing really got to me last night. i was about to throw something at the tv. maybe a question for next week could be how many times do we hear the word baby during the hour?

I am really rooting for chris and john at this point they are the most even keeled couple and they really seem to get along. and they care about other people. chris even went up to bolo and said dont worry it is just a game (or something to that effect last night) of course that was seconds before john came back with the answer but still very caring i thought.

I wanted Lori and Bolo to win too. My 9 year old that watches with me said he doesn't want to watch again because they were the only people left that he liked. I didn't mind Lori's yelling as much as Jonathans. Maybe it just looks worse when a man is yelling at a woman then the other way around. I saw an interview with George Burns once and he said at first Gracie was the strait person in the act and nobody thought it was funny that he was making fun of her. Then when he became the strait man everyone laughed. Maybe its the same way with yelling. LOL She was also not as mean and nasty as he was. I would have done more then yell at my dh if I had to go up all those stairs twice because he didn't read the clue.

I think everyone wanted Adam and Rebecca to be gone last night. They should have been except for everyone having to wait for a place to open which gave them a chance to catch up. I was liking Bolo and Lori more and more,you could see the love between them even when they were both tired and frustrated.
Now I have to pick another favorite. Jon and Kris seem to get along although the camera hasn't focused on them as much as some of the others. I can't stand Kendra ever since her remarks about breeding in poverty.
The Baby thing saves them the effort of remembering the current friend's name.

I really hope Kris and Jon win. They consistantly do well, get along, take time to notice the cultures and people of the country and seem generally nice. I can't stand Kendra after her remarks. Rebecca and Adam are pitiful. As for Lori and Bolo,I've had a problem with them ever since I watched the recap show. I thought the clip they showed of Bolo pretending to be disabled to get on the plane first was extremely offensive.

TVGO: Were there any scenes that didn't make the final cut that you wish had been included?

Lori: Yeah, when I grabbed Jonathan by his backpack at the airport and threw him out of the way. Our plane was coming in before the other team's plane and he kept asking the lady at the counter, "Can you call the captain and tell him to speed up? We're in a race." And she was like, "I can't do that." So I grabbed him and said, "Will you move out of my way 'cause you are driving me nuts!" I think I scared him. He just looked at me and then said to the camera, "She's mean."

Bolo: When we got on the plane in Lalibela, Ethiopia, I was so sick from the food that I stunk it up. The pilots almost had to get off the plane. People don't want to admit their farts smell good, but this sucker made your eyes water. I was sitting back there saying, "Yeah, that's mine!"

I was hoping that there would be some sort of chance for all three teams to be equal during the last hour so they could all have a chance to win.

What was up w/ Hayden? Geez!! And then with Aaron saying how wonderful she was and proposing? The guy needed a good nights sleep first I think!
