Amazing Race 6 Contest!
Win a $10 Target,Blockbuster, or Walmart gc. Your choice.

You will want to refer to the CBS site to get familiar with the 11 new teams. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]
You will want to note my e-mail to send your entries each week. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

Rules:
1. There will be 4 questions each week.
2. The 4 questions will have a value of 1 point each for correct guesses.
3. The 4 questions will be posted here on this thread with the results of the last weeks scoring.
4. Deadline each week will be 12 Noon of the day of the show.
5. There will be a bonus question that could make you lots of extra points OR lose you all your points: Get it right and you double your points for this week. Miss it and you get 0 points this week (you lose any you get for questions 1-4). You may choose not to answer this question.

For the first show on the 16th you must answer the following questions concerning the results of the first leg:
1. Predict a team that will finish in the top 3.
2. Predict a team that will finish in the bottom 3.
3. Predict the team of contestants that finishes best among the teams made up of only 20 something year olds.
4. Will Don/ MaryJean make it past the first leg? Yes or No
BONUS QUESTION: Which all-girl team will finish better in leg 1: Lena/Kristy or Meredith/Maria?

I will provide the $10 gc. If I win the contest you each have to promise to send me a congratulations card....LOL

This contest should be fun for everyone. Encourage other to join us. The more the merrier.

Hey Crazytimes! You should have asked Chippers very nicely if you could submit your guesses in a little late. She is such a sweetie that I bet she would have let you!

Right now it is 9:02pm and I am taping the show. My son has been running me ragged all day....taking him to WalMart is always a treat! So, I'm going to hit the hay in about 30 minutes. I'm looking forward to watching it tomorrow. The previews look great!

Scorekeeping for the first week was pretty easy.If you had Meredith/Maria as the answer to the bonus question, you received 0 points this week. Those who had Lena/Kristy received double the points they earned in questions 1-4. Hattielee receive just the points she earned in 1-4.

So....next week many of us will be starting from scratch. There will be a bonus question each week. If you answer it correctly, you receive double points for the week. If you answer wrong, as most of us did this week, you receive 0 points for the week, but your total accumulated before that week is not affected. You will always have the option of skipping the bonus question.
I did not detail the points above. Chippers (me) received 4 points as follows: 1 for picking Don/MaryJean to finish in the final 3 and 1 for picking Hayden/Aaron to finish best among the 20 somethings and doubled it with the bonus. Momof3girls received 1 point for picking Don/MaryJean to finish in the final 3 and doubled it by picking the bonus. Hattielee received 2 points for choosing Don/MaryJean to finish in the final 3 and also to survive the first week. No bonus answer from Hattielee.

I will post our new questions in a few minutes.

A fight over a pair of sunglasses brings one Racer to tears and leads the Team to a deep discussion about their relationship.

A Detour proves to be incredibly exhausting and painful as one Racer finds it nearly impossible to remain standing.

At the Pit Stop, one Team gets an unexpected penalty. Will it cost them the Race?

One Team uses wits and charm to get the help of a local who takes a ride with them.

Struggling over how to navigate causes some serious infighting for one Team that ends with one teammate demanding an apology from the other and creating a spectacle.



Wow! There is so much material here to base my questions on, I am going to take a while to decide what to use. Any suggestions?

I have decided to use the 2 following bits of information from the CBS site for our questions for Nov.23:
At the Pit Stop, one Team gets an unexpected penalty. Will it cost them the Race?
One Team uses wits and charm to get the help of a local who takes a ride with them.

Questions:
1. Pick 1 team that finishes in the top 3 on Nov 23.
2. Pick 1 team that finishes in the bottom 3 on Nov. 23.
3. Predict which team receives a penalty at the pit stop?
4. Predict which team uses wit and charm to get a local to help them by taking a ride with them?

Bonus: Will it cost the penalized team the race? Yes or No (You do not have to get number 3 correct to score for this question, but if you answer this question wrong you will get 0 points for this week)

Tuesday, November 30 10PM ET/PT
One Team is hit with a surprise leaving the Pit Stop that lights a fire under them to race hard for the entire leg.
A simple Detour task turns grueling driving several teams to switch tasks out of frustration, and bringing another team to its knees with exhaustion.
One Racer is touched by the effort of her teammate, who battles through what seems like an impossible task. Will the Racer's persistence pay off in the end?
During a Detour, a screaming match between teammates prompts sideline comments from other Teams. Could the constant bickering cause the Team to break down?

Because it is Sunday and I am just getting around to posting the new questions, the deadline will be extended to 7 PM EST on Tuesday, November 30.

This weeks questions:
1.Predict a team that finishes in the top 3.

3.Guess which team is hit by a surprise while leaving the Pit Stop.
