Re: Survivor discussion thread

I'd like to know just why Chris voted to rid the tribe of Sarge. I gather he disliked him. Pretty stupid though, with these women ganging up on the men. They never show enough footage of what really goes on to make any sense.

Noteworthy too was last night's immunity challenge which definitely favored the women.

Makes one wonder if they (the powers that be) want to arrange for a woman to win.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

Yeah, I was surprised about Chris voting to get rid of Sarge too. Didn't seem to make sense. Chris seems to be the strategic one though...he has been ever since the beginning. We'll see how it pans out.

IF the women are SMART, they will stick together until the two remaining men are gone.

There is no one woman that I am rooting for.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I think Chris just knew how the vote was going down and voted accordingly. The guys didn't even have it together between themselves, Chad and Sarge both voted for different women.

I think the week before the immunity challenge that Sarge won favored the men, so it evens out.

Brad and Chris are goners unless they can cause some real fracturing among the ladies. I am amazed at how much power Ami seems to wield over the whole tribe. And she has done so from the very beginning. I think my choice to win the whole thing about now would be LeAnn, as she has flown way below the radar and does not appear to have any enemies.
I am surprised that Scout has lasted this long too! Maybe they think of her as a pawn?

I don't understand why Twila keeps voting with the women! Does she really think she has a chance after the guys are gone? You never know though...Ami get mad at a comment Twila makes and turn the whole tribe against here! And she always has this smug look on her face at tribal council that drives me nuts!

I can't stand Ami and wish they would realize how much power she has and giver the boot! After the way she got everyone against Lisa over one small, insignificant comment I couldn't stand her.

I don't really care for anyone left. I liked Sarge the bet, but now he's gone. I DID like Twila, but she's just too wishy washy! She says that she connects more with the guys and all this crap and then votes with the women.

Last night I think the smartest thing would have been if the 3 guys could have gotten Eliza and Twila to vote off Scout.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I also can't understand why Chris voted for Sarge unless he was trying to get on the womens good side. He knows that without immunity he will be one of the next two to go. They made such a mistake when they voted off John instead of one of the women. Twila also knows she made a big mistake not believing Sarge. To bad she found out to late. Ami is so snotty. I sure hope she goes soon, but I don't think so. I think the other women are too afraid to go against her because if they say somthing and it gets back to her then they will be gone. Same way when Rob and Amber were the final two. They had so much power not enough people were willing to take a chance and go against them.

That is what gets me about this show. So often you see people garnering power almost by default. They would never have that power if the others didn't give it to them. In the case of Rob and Amber, there were ample opportunities to topple their alliance, but nooooooooooo. People had other silly priorities.

This season's installment seems to be no different. I bet either Ami or Julie will wind up with the prize because the others simply won't see the writing on the wall in time.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I used to like Twila, but she has gotten on my nerves. Week after week she whines about how she's in the middle, yet week after week she continues to string along the men and then ends up voting with the women. She's not in the middle and I swear if she says it one more time I'm gonna lose it.

I don't know I just hate this men vs. women. I pray that Chris wins immunity next week or else it's gonna blow.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

There is something about Ami. I don't get it, but she has the women doing her will. Scout was brave to try a new plan, but she underestimated Ami's power. Next week she is in big trouble. If the women decide to let Chris hang around a while or he wins immunity, Scout is gone.
I have not enjoyed this show. Maybe because I generally like men much more than women, and the show is virtually all women, and has been from the beginning.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I'm convinced Ami is a witch because seems like she's got the women under some kind of spell! Eithat that or she's a really good hypnotist. I swear, every one of them obeys her every command it seems. It really makes this season boring! Every time it seems like there will be a shakeup, nope. Twila ends up voting with the women.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I usually favor the women because unless the challenges require brain power, the men's powerful strength compared to the women, makes most of the challenges much easier for them. Look at the reward challenge. With the two men on the same team they basically lifted and carried Eliza through the rope puzzle while the women really had to struggle to help Julie up and over some parts of it. I was not at all surprised that they won.

I agree that on that challenge it would have been much more fair if there had been one man on each team. I was referring to their personalities when I said I generally favor the men. Women are, oh well best I not say anything.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

Where has all the strategy gone?? Do Twila and Scout really think that the other women are going to bring them to the final four? Nope!! They had their chance and they blew it.

I agree with the above postings about Twila. She has made her bed with the women and now she is going to have to lie in it...and she will soon see what a mistake that was.

Why does everyone say that if the tie is a vote they will pull colored rocks to see who goes home? They have done that one time (with Pascal) a few seasons ago. I also remember in Survivor 3 in Africa when it was the young vs. the old and the vote was 4-4, they had to answer questions to see who went home.

I hope there is an episode this week. It isn't Thanksgiving here in Canada. My TV guide lists it.
