Re: Survivor discussion thread

I think that explains the lack of chatter here. There are no characters that we just love to hate. And we do not know enough about the ones that are remaining to have a hero/champion either.
I tend to like Sarge. He has been pretty sneaky, making alliances with the older men and then with Twila. I liked Twila, until she seemed to fall for Julia's trick. Not nearly as interesting, all in all, as other Survivors. Maybe they have run out of new twists.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I think that it is like anything in life. When it is new it's exciting but as you grow used to it ,it all becomes a bit Ho Hum. I still enjoy Survivor and our contests make it more interesting for me,but it would be nice to see some new and different challenges. If anyone, I would like to see Scout go far, just because she is so much older than them all.

Nope I feel the same way. Most of the challenges seem recyle and none of the survivors seem to have really strong personalities. I'm still watching but not nearly as interested as previous seasons.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I agree with all of you. I keep thinking this will be the week that I really start loving the show. It has not happened so far and we are pretty far into the season. I will still watch it I just wish there was someone I really wanted to win. The previews show somthing happening on Thursdays show. What if instead of a merge they just mixed up the teams again. That might be interesting.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

It sure would make it harder to stick to their alliances if they mixed them up again. The ones with the strongest supporters might find themselves with no backers at all.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I hope Amazing Race does not disappoint. I am thinking about the contest, but right now I am in the middle of planning a big party for my newlywed son and daughter-in-law, so it will after this week-end before I get time to make up our rules.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I agree with you ShainaT, for now. I know with every new Survivor, it takes me until way after the merge to really start liking somebody. It's too hard to "get to know" everybody when there's too many of them. I do like Twila and Chad though. I really don't care for Scout (worthless), Eliza, or Ami.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

Didn't anyone watch the show tonight? It looks like the women are out to get rid of the men in spite of the alliances that the men thought they had with Twila and Julie. They will just have to keep on winning immunity if they want to be safe.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I was really bummed to see Rory go, he was one of the few interesting characters. I'm really disappointed Twila didn't stay with the guys.

Chippers sent me the following email:
My home computer is infected with all kinds of spyware. One of the programs is a browser hi-jacker, which is preventing me from accessing DOD. Please let the folks who do the Survivor contest know that I am taking my computer to the computer doctor (LOL) and I will not be able to update anything until next Tuesday or Wednesday. Thanks. Re: Survivor discussion thread

I am glad Rory is gone, he got on my nerves too much. He complained all the time. I really like Chad, although we haven't heard much from him. I also like Ami, she is a tough woman. She does really well in most of the challenges. I was surprised that Twila turned on the men. The women definately have a leg up now, 6 women to 3 men.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I sure wish that Twila had stayed with the men. I think she would have if the other woman on their tribe had not lied to her and told her that Sarge had talked to her too. I think that Twila would have had a better chance with the men. I think that if the women do pick off the men then Twila will be the first woman to go. I really really don't like Ami. I sure hope that at some point they go against her so she will not end up in the final two. I really thought that Rory would be the one to go. Whenever they show someone saying how safe they feel they usually end up to be the one that goes.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

Rory was not very loyal to the women. He told them before the merge that they were his tribe andhe knew them so much better than he knew the men. But the minute the merge happened he started in on how happy he was to be back with the men,and started complaining about most of the women. Even though he was one of my top four I am not sorry to see him go.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

No one seems very interested in Survivor any more. No comments at all. I am still enjoying the show and glad to see that the women stuck together and voted off another man. They will miss the help that Lea gave around the camp. It would have been good if they had got rid of Eliza who doesn't seem to do anything. Of course the editing could make her look lazy. It was funny to see her struggle with the pig. I wonder what that is all about.

Re: Survivor discussion thread

I am amazed that Scout has lasted all this time. She may be a hard worker but she is really weak compared to the others, and not real bright either. Twila keeps talking a good deal to the men and then votes with the women. What was that I saw, with Chris voting with the women???? Brad and Chris are goners unless they can cause some real fracturing among the ladies. I am amazed at how much power Ami seems to wield over the whole tribe. And she has done so from the very beginning. I think my choice to win the whole thing about now would be LeAnn, as she has flown way below the radar and does not appear to have any enemies.
