| Survivor Contest The cbs site and contest rules for Survivor Vanuatu: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] (This contest will require minimum attention after you submit your guesses. That way we can all sit back, enjoy the show, and cheer on our favorites.) 1.The contest will have several parts, and the total score you receive from Part A, Part B, and Part C will determine your total score for the contest. The contestant with the highest score will win a $10 gc to Target or Walmart. In addition the winners of Part A,B, and C will receive a $5 gift certificate to Target or Walmart. In the event that the overall winner also wins Part A,B, and/or C, the second (or third if needed) highest score for each will be declared the winner. (In other words, only one gc per contestant) 2.Part A: THE TEAM EVENT: Pick a team of 4 Survivors. Pick players you think will do well on the individual challenges and will not be eliminated early in the game. Your team must include 2 males and 2 females. Your team must include at least one survivor under 30 years of age and one survivor 40 years or older. Your team will score points for you as follows: 1 point for each, every week they survive; 3 points for every individual challenge won by someone on your team. You may replace a lost team member with another 2 times during this contest, but that is all. Your replacement must make your team a legal team of 2 males and 2 females, BUT you may choose to replace your lost 40+ with a younger player of the same gender. After you use both your replacement guesses you will continue to score points in the game as long as you have 1 active player. If you feel brave you may choose your team of 4 before the first show airs. You will receive a 3 point starting bonus for doing so, and you will score points for the first week. Deadline for receiving bonus will be 12 Noon EST of the day of the first show.Deadline for regular entry will be noon EST of the second show. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] Part B: PICK THE LOSERS: 1. Predict the total of the ages for the first 3 Survivors booted from Vanatua. If the 3 youngest were booted first the total would be 66. If the 3 oldest were first to go the total would be 144. Scoring: Closest guess receives 10 points, the next receives 8, then 6, 4, and 2. All others receive 0. Ties divide the points as needed. 2. Pick 4 Survivors you think will be eliminated early in the game. Your team of losers score you points only when all 4 are gone. (Limitations: you may not pick all men or all women but you may choose all one age group if you so desire) Scoring: First player to have all 4 eliminated gets 10 points, the next 8, then 6, 4, and 2. All others receive 0. Ties divide the points. 3. After the teams are established I may devise one additional question for here. I will attempt to make adequate e-mail notifications and post reminders here, if and when I add this question. Note: to enter Part B you will need to make your guesses before the first show, as they do eliminate someone on that show. You may submit your guesses for Part B, and still wait to do Part A until after the first show if you so desire. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] Part C: PICK WISELY: 1. Who will survive longer, the FBI agent, Brady; or the drill seargant, Lea; or the critical guy, Travis? 2. Which 20 something will survive the longest: Eliza, Julie, or Dolly? 3.Who will survive longest from the following: Chad, the amputee; cancer survivor with knee replacement, Scout; or kidney donator, LeAnn? 4. Which married person will survive the longest: Lea, Rory,Travis or Lisa? 5. Which guy with a girlfriend/fiancee will last the longest: Brady, John P, or Chris? 6. Which lesbian will last longer- Scout or Ami (I am assuming the committed relationship is a woman)? 7. Which unattached person will survive the longest? Mia,Brook,or John K? 8. Which of the 40 and over crowd will survive the longest? Lea, Twila, Lisa, or Scout? 9. Predict the person in their 30's who will survive the longest. 10. Predict the person in their 20's who will survive the longest. Scoring: 3 points for every question you get right. I will be posting a chart that shows all the possibilities, that you may wish to copy and print for your records. You could also use it to send your guesses to me. I suggest CAPITALIZING your choice on each line. Deadline for Part C is 12 Noon EST before the first show for 6 point bonus. (The results of the first show could influence your selections, but I want to give you the option of waiting, thus the 6 point bonus to counter any advantage those who wait might gain.) | Re: Survivor Contest Just a reminder: This contest is starting soon and I have just a few entries so far. You will need to enter before the first show to get all the bonus points. Of course, you may wait and get a better idea of who is who, but it could backfire as others start with bonus points. Plus, just answering all these questions takes some research and quite a bit of time. The good news is, once you enter you will not have to do much but sit back and cheer for your picks as you enjoy the show. It looks like it will be another good one.

| Re: Survivor Contest I have 6 entries so far. I think I have designed this contest in such a way that we can all have alot of fun with it without having to pay attention to it every week. Please enter the contest. We always have lots of fun discussing the outcomes. If we have only 6 entries we will still have fun, but I always think the more the merrier.

Register Now] Some rule clarifications: When one of your team members is eliminated from Part A, you may immediately replace that player for the next week. The replacement must be of the same sex, but not necessary to make them the same age group. (YOU MAY DO THIS ONLY 2 TIMES DURING ALL OF SURVIVOR 9) I need someone to keep track of the replacements as they are selected. Any volunteers? You would need to post your e-mail here on this thread for contestants to submit their replacements to you. Then send me an e-mail of the list of replacements after the October 7 show and I will use them to edit the appropriate players scores. (List: contestant: Survivor replaced by which other Survivor and the date the change was submitted) I will be adding one more question to Part B when I return from Chile. I will be missing the shows of September 23, September 30, and October 7. I will edit all the scores and eliminated players when I return on October 10. By that time the Part B, number 1 question will have an answer, and I will award the points accordingly. It is possible, but not likely, that someone will have all 4 of the first 4 eliminated players as well. Any Survivor contestant who is injured so bad they must leave (remember Michael who was burned?) ,or who quits the show, counts as an eliminated player. Editing three weeks of shows will take some time and effort, so bear with me. Meanwhile, enjoy the new Survivor and make lots of comments here for me to read when I get back. I may be able to check in here from Chile. If so, I will. I will be very busy travelling and celebrating my sons wedding though, so do not expect to hear from me. Love you all and enjoy the show tonight.

| Re: Survivor Contest argghhhh, my vcr didnt tape!!! does anyone know if they are going to reshow the first episode? they usually do at some time but i dont see it on the cbs site. I know i can read about what happened, and i did see the last 20 minutes, but i like to see it so i can get a feel for the people a little better. thanks karen
