Re: Survivor All-Star Discussion thread

I have a feeling we haven't heard the last of the Richard/Sue saga from last night. She will probably pursue a law suit or something for sexual harassment. That was pretty lame of Richard to do something like that.

Re: Survivor All-Star Discussion thread

What did Richard do? I must have blinked or something.
These challenges are getting very rough. There will be sore muscles today.
As a member of the disolved tribe, I'm afraid that Rupert will be out of there soon. But hopefully they will keep him for his fish catching ability.

Re: Survivor All-Star Discussion thread

Richard rubbed his parts up against Sue during the balance beam challenge. I think he did it in an attempt to make her get out of his way but he still shouldn't have done it. That was sick. I don't think its right that CBS or Mark Burnett has been allowing Hatch to run around without clothes all this time. Survivor has always been a family show for me. Even my 5 year old watches with us. (She loves Rupert!) But when it comes down to them having to block out parts because of someone blatantly running around nude and I end up having to explain to my daughter why they are doing it so much or why Hatch is running around without clothes all the time, I think that's getting out of hand. I wonder if the Janet Jackson thing or the Howard Stern thing hadn't happened, if CBS would have even broadcast those warnings last night before the challenge started. They've never done it before this season. They should have told Hatch to knock it off a long time ago.

Re: Survivor All-Star Discussion thread

Considering they had two warnings, I was prepared for something truly horrific and graphic and was concerned about my kids being disturbed by it. (All the cussing is bad enough.) After seeing the incident though, I wouldn't be surprised if some viewers wouldn't have picked up on it had CBS not called attention to it --it just wasn't real obvious.

I didn't think so either, but my kids remember them doing this before Michael slaughtered the pig.

Re: Survivor All-Star Discussion thread

I meant, they haven't shown warnings about Hatchs nudity before IN this season, not previous seasons.

Re: Survivor All-Star Discussion thread

The Janet incident definitely changed CBS's broadcast standards. Heres a article from tvweek.com:

Eye on 'Survivor'

When Jeff Probst said during a recent installment of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that after the Janet Jackson bared-breast incident, "Survivor" was ordered to enlarge the digital blur over the ever-naked Richard Hatch, the ever-naive Insider wondered whether that edict had any post-production ramifications.

Turns out it does. It has added a couple of hours to the post-production of each "Survivor" episode, according to a post-production source who said the challenge segments are literally a challenge for the pixelators, who have to work frame by action-driven frame.

It also turns out that the blur has been made more opaque by increasing the number of pixels deployed in each frame to record levels for the eight-season reality hit.

What did I miss? I thought the warning was because Boston Rob and Amber were gonna, eh...you know.

Anyways I missed whatever happened that was innapropriate.

I am just glad Richard is gone! No more of his ridiculous commentaries or nasty arrogrance!

Re: Survivor All-Star Discussion thread

From the CBS Survivor teaster email:

Sensing that she had been personally attacked, Shii Ann confronts Colby, only to be subjected to a lecture.

One All-Star suddenly rises to dominance in providing for the tribe.

Tension builds for one castaway and culminates in an explosive reaction.

Hmmm..I bet they are talking about Sue for the last one. I think we got a little preview of her "explosive reaction" last week. I'm so ready for them to get rid of her!

Re: Survivor All-Star Discussion thread

From my email:

In other CBS news, the finale of Survivor: All-Stars will air May 9 from 8-10 pm/ET, followed by an hour-long reunion show broadcast live from
New York City's Madison Square Garden.

Re: Survivor All-Star Discussion thread

I'm listening to Richard Hatch do an interview on a local radio station. He said about the "Susan incident" that she touched him, he didn't touch her! Then he said that he was totally focused on the challenge and was only trying to get past her because she, for some reason, had turned around and blocked his way. Can't wait to see what she has to say tonight!
