The Simple Life
Is anyone watching this? I am and I have to admit, I love it!!

I really can't believe they (Paris Hilton & Nicole Richie) are that naive but when you have millions and millions of dollars and everything handed to you I guess it's possible. DH thinks it's all an act for the show...lol

My favorite comment so far is the one last night where Paris asked if Wal-Mart sold wall stuff hehe

So what does everyone else think of this show?

I've been watching. I like it, it is funny. I can't believe how dumb these girls are. I thought it was really funny when the little boy put the dog on the slide last night.

I just saw last nights episode...where they get fired from the farm and sneak out at night.

The girls seem nicer than I expected. They seemed to try hard to do the job but it was just beyond them And what was up with Paris calling her mom from the farm? People don't do that at job's...esp. not on their first day.

What were they thinking...no way they could sneak out and not get caught. Now I have to watch next weeks episode to see what happens.

well, i have to admit i only watched a little bit of the first episode and really disliked it. I thought the girls were playing to the camera tooo much. i thought all the things they did were very contrived and thought of before hand on what they could do to make a good show. definately not lets go try life on a farm. If they are really that lost on the work world they would not pick a farm to go and live on to see what the real mans life is like. they should get an apartment somewhere and try to get real jobs and pay their rent and cook for them selves. let them go out and have their party times and find out the first of the month that they dont have rent money.

i dont think this is a show i will be watching.

Well, being from Arkansas(where the show takes place), I had to watch. I agree that the girls are playing to the camera. Would you not just die as parents if your girls acted like them?? And dressed like them?? Anyway, I thought I would fall out of my seat when the farmer told the Richie girl to be really nasty and scream and holler at the cows--don't think he expected what he got(LOL). DH and I just can't believe how they acted. Kinda got addicted though, so will have to watch.

Yorkielover- the show is on FOX-TV. A free channel. You should hopefully get it.

We do get one Fox station, but it's all Married with Children and Cops. I just did a search on Dish Network's programming guide online, and there is no Simple Life listed. Wouldn't you know ... with over 100 channels ... I don't seem to get it? How's that for technology? Okay, well, I'll be checking this thread for the latest scoop, then.

That's exactly what my hubby said, "Boy are those girls dumb"!
I couldn't believe it, I watched it last night for the first time. I've nothing against sexy clothing, but Paris had on half a skirt, her entire middle bared, and barely a top, and they bleeped her butt when she bent over, I'm guessing, G-string. She and her friend are such flirts. I'll bet the boys in the ozarks never saw any girls like them in their lives.

We have Fox Dallas on our Dish Network and that's the channel I watch it on.

I finally got to catch the last episode last night, but only because I'm out of town and was able to get Fox. I don't think I could have watched this show - the girls would have made me cringe too much with their antics. I think Fox is airing a 'Simple Life Reunion' tonight.

Lionel Ritchie's daughter, what's her name now, was in a bar with Paris in the town where they were guests and actually threw bleach from a bottle onto the pool table. Talk about being out of control! She used to do drugs, I was wondering if she still was when I saw that.
