Question Anyone else watching "For Love Or Money" on NBC?

Last nights show was so funny!! This guy is such a jerk! My DH came in during the "boots" scene and sat down and watched the rest of the show! Since my DH watches no other reality shows I told him this is NOT the one to start watching. He was cracking up at the guy!

All the women are going to go for the $$$ now (with the possible exception of Paige).

I'm watching! I actually felt sorry for the guy the first episode(not knowing about the money), but after last night I say Go Get the Money Ladies!!!!!!!

Have you heard about this?
TheSmokingGun.com has discovered a skeleton in the closet of Rob Campos, the star of NBC's 'For Love or Money.' According to TVGuide.com, in 1999, Campos was expelled from the military "after he drunkenly groped the breasts of a Navy officer after barging uninvited into the woman's dormitory room early one morning." For his actions, Campos was expelled from the JAG training program, he received an administrative punishment, and was forced to enroll in a substance abuse treatment program. NBC says they were unaware of the incident

Hey Hattielee! This story is all over the news today! NBC must love it! Free publicity! Now more people than ever will turn in to watch the show.

Now with American Idol I can almost understand how some things in peoples backrounds were overlooked but on this show I don't get it. They couldn't find out that the guy was kicked out of the military? Isn't that public information?

On one of the entertainment shows they said that because he was given a naval administrative punishment and was honorably discharged it was not a matter of public record.

Do you think these reality contestants will ever get the idea - don't go on a show if you have a skeleton in your closgs in peoples backrounds were overlooked but on this show I don't get it. They couldn't find out that the guy was kicked out of the military? Isn't that public information?

Rob Fired!

Firm's Decision on Rob Campos

In reference to the recent controversy regarding Rob Campos, this firm makes the following public statement and decision:

Following the events of September 11, 2001, Rob Campos was laid off from his employment due to the economic turmoil resulting from the terrorist attacks. After he returned to Texas from New York, Mr. Campos expressed interest in working with our firm and was ultimately offered a position as an independent contractor to perform "Associate Attorney" duties. This relationship began in December, 2001. During his relationship with our firm Mr. Campos also had discretion to practice on his own cases.

When Mr. Campos expressed interest in performing work for this firm and maintaining an office with us he did not volunteer the negative information that related to his experience at the JAG Corps nor was this information known to us. The firm conducted a criminal background check, which showed no arrests, no probation, no deferred adjudication or convictions. The firm was not privy to the JAG Corps related complaint during the background investigation as the proceedings are protected by privacy rights.

The recent news stories related to Mr. Campos' misconduct during his tenure as a Marine are alarming. Furthermore, we were concerned about his conduct during the second episode of the TV show "For Love or Money" on NBC, which aired on June 9, 2003. Taking the two events together, we find that it is in the best interest of this firm to disassociate our relationship with Mr. Campos. Since Mr. Campos has never been a formal "employee" of this firm, the firm simply will cease any additional work and we have asked him to vacate his offi convictions. The firm was not privy to the JAG Corps related complaint during the background investigation as the proceedings are protected by privacy rights.

We take this action carefully, without haste, and after due consideration. We have factored our relationship with Mr. Campos as well as the decisions he has made over the years and the last several weeks. Although we have known Rob Campos to be an intelligent and hospitable person and a person who has acted mannerly with our staff and our clients, he has allowed himself to become ill perceived. What is of greatest significance to us, is that our firm vigorously enforces the rights of individuals, many of them minorities, many of them foreign to this country and many of them women. We hold our relationship with our clients and potential clients dear to our hearts and of the utmost importance in prioritizing our responsibilities. We do not wish to allow any possibility of our practice of law being perceived as unsympathetic to the causes we strive so hard to protect.

Sincerely,

Mathur Law Offices, P.C.

Sanjay S. Mathur
