RULES:
Players may start playing this game with us at any time during the season. Even a person with one chance has the chance to win! YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED DEAL OF DAY MEMBER TO PLAY.
Each week, players must email me ( [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] ) with their picks for this weeks questions. Please put SURVIVOR and your DOD member name in the subject of your email.
**This must be done before midnight CST on Sept. 18th.**

Answer these 3 Questions:
**1. Who do you think will be voted off Survivor in the upcoming episode (Sept 19th)?

**2. Which tribe do you think will win the immunity challenge (purple team or orange team - names not determined yet) in the upcoming episode (Sept 19th)?

**3. Which tribe member do you think will NOT be booted off the island in the upcoming episode (Sept 19th)?

SCORING:
It's all about gaining points this time, folks! No one will lose or gain points for an incorrect guess.

Question #1: This question is worth 5 points for correctly guessing who gets booted off this week. (Only guess one tribe member.) (In the event that a tribe member has to leave the island for any other reason other than being voted off, that tribe member will be considered booted as well and points will be awarded accordingly. But you can only submit one guess each week no matter if more than one tribe member leaves the island in the same episode.)

Question #2: This question is worth 3 points for correctly guessing which tribe will win the immunity challenge for the week.

Question #3: This question is worth 2 points for correctly guessing a tribe member that will NOT be booted off during the weeks episode.

I will post everyones picks and points in each weeks thread at the end of the show.
(10 total chances available per week.)

PRIZE DRAWING:
There will be a random drawing at the end of the season for a $50 gift certificate. Each point you accumulate during the game, earns you one chance in the pot for the drawing.

IMPORTANT NOTES: The time/datestamp on the email you send to me each week determines whether you are in it or not. Please do not wait until the last minute to email me your picks. I don't want to get yelled at for you missing the deadline. I've been quite lenient on this the last couple seasons and have tried to include everyone I could in the game even if they sent their picks late. Different rules this time.....see below.

Anyone not able to make a prediction for the week, I will just leave your picks as they were from the previous week. Points will only be accumulated for those that you have correct. Once you run out of picks, no points can be accumulated until I hear from you again with new picks.

I'm also going to try a different approach to help keep everyone in the game. When you send me your picks, please do it from a reliable email address that I may send you a reminder to vote each week. I will email (blind copy) everyone a few days before the deadline to remind you to submit your picks. This way, there will be no need for me to keep track in a post everyone that has submitted for the week. If the reminder is in your mailbox, you can submit your picks to me, delete the reminder and then you know you have submitted for the week and don't have to worry about it until you see I've sent you the next reminder. So please make sure you send me your picks from a reliable email address because that is the one that I will use to send you reminders. I will not be responsible for emails bouncing back.

Pssst.....watch the thread each week for possible surprise questions worth bonus points! And let's get some more discussions going about the episodes this season. I love to hear what everyone is thinking and strategizing.

Thanks for doing this Sandi. It's so much fun and even tho' I'll be away part of the time it sounds like I can still accumulate points.
Your new rules sound fine to me. I think I had better go to the site where they tell about the contestants so that I can read up on them all. Then I can make an educated guess.

I won't send out reminders to vote again until the first show is over. You or anyone for that matter can go ahead and send me your picks for the first show if you want.

Just looked at the Survivor (CBS) site.... Clay Jordan is from MY TOWN!!!

And another guy is from Slidell, LA. This will make #5 that much more interesting for me!!!

You might want to keep this in mind when making your picks....sad deal. How terrible for her to have to relive this on television when the show starts.

Survivor Tanya Vance's father Dies in Car Crash
Show Contestant will come home early from Thailand

A family tragedy has brought the latest local "Survivor" reality series contestant home early.

Kingsport's Tanya Vance's father was killed in a car crash Monday. The producers of "Survivor" were notified earlier this week, and Tanya was flown home immediately. CBS representatives say family members were flown to meet Tanya at a connecting location. There is a phone tree network in place where contestants can be reached if there is an emergency.

No word on how this will affect the taping of the show. Officials believe Thomas Vance may have suffered a heart attack before the crash.

For every person that correctly guesses the first person to be booted off the first show of Survivor this Sept 19th, I will put those names in a hat and draw out one name. That person will get a free 45 minute long distance code that I will email to them. Good for up to 45 minutes of free long distance that doesn't expire until 12/31/02.
