Can anybody tell me about E-gold? Is it totally free ?
Between E-gold and Paypal, which one is better? Thanks.

Hi,
I'm with you - don't even know what e-gold is, but I do use paypal and have noticed that the sites online that I purchase from only take paypal, not e-gold. Course, I don't know what it is! Anyone?

How e-gold works:
When you have money in e-gold account, you actually have a tiny bit of gold in bank. Actually the account balance is tied to gold, not to dollar. Therefore the amount of money changes as the gold price rises or decreases in the stock market. The e-gold is free, but they cut a certain percentages from money transfers you make (just like PayPal does. The fees are smaller though).

I have used e-gold before and I don't recommend it. Lots of Internet gambling, scamming and money laundry is done trough e-gold since the track records and money transfers can't be tracked/undo. It is also said that US government is trying to shut down privately owned e-gold. It's better and safer to use PayPal.

Paypal is definitely much more expensive
and have strict rules that we must follow if we want to make a account.

I was using E-Gold for a very long time because my Country doesn't belongs to Paypal list. Dunno I didn't have any problems with E-gold but as soon as Paypal put my country in their list I will make account because they are the best online bank in the world.

E-gold is widely used in HYIP, Autosurf, Paid to Read Emails, and Gambling sites. Why is this used by these sites, for the reason that you can easily open and closed an account and cannot be easily traceable.

The govt. has tried to closed the business in previous years but E-gold managed to stay afloat (maybe they have proven sound legit business).

By the way you cannot easily fund and withdraw on your E-gold account, it needs to be funded by a legit third party that will verify the funders address.

Is it safe to use? I think so... if your site belongs to the one mentioned above. By the way E-gold has no charged back (or refund) unlike paypal.
