I'm not very Google Ad savvy. Are there types of google revenue ads available that pay the webmaster/owner money based on impressions alone? I thought you had to actually click on the google ad itself to generate any revenue? But as I said....I'm not Google Ad savvy....

Thanks Toby, that's what I thought. So then the "freebie" sites that have Google Ads on them which make people suspicious, really won't make any money unless people actually click on the ad.

Toby is correct. In any case, you need to actually "click" through on the ads, any ads. The payouts differ depending on the program.

I don't know if you saw my post above. If you get to a page that has google ads the impressions (actually landing on the page) has to add up to 1000 impressions (or more) and those impressions pay hardly anything. IF someone clicks through on an ad, then it pays a certain amount depending on the advertiser. It's not a huge amount but over time it will add up for the owner of a site. It's a complex algorithm and isn't worth trying to figure out the payout. Each program (yahoo, google, etc.,) has their own explicit way of doing business. Revenue is paid to the owner of the site the ads are on. That also is paid according to each individual program's way of doing business. It's quite complicated. lol

HTH! Heck, almost everyone I know who has a site, blog, Live Journal or something of content on the web is displaying ads. It's a way of life. For some, it pays the webhosting fees, for others it's an actual stream of revenue they can live off of, and for the very lucky and dedicated it's a steady stream that has made them rich. It's not a bad thing.

It's not a bad thing. When I had my website, and it was all essential oils, recipes (mine, free), butters, carrier oils, aroma-jewelry, herbs, and such, I decided "not" to carry books just for the inventory space alone, so I went with an affiliate link to Barnes and Noble - it made me extra money and also the books I used were more or less always on there, and they offered coupons as well.
The way it helped me, more than the affiliate money, was not wanting to carry books in the first place. So, if you already have more than enough inventory, things like this can really help you by letting you show your customers where they can get something, without actually having to physically carry or ship it out.

When you use google ads there is a small amount of money on 1000 impressions but it depends on number of clicks also. No I think there is no ad company which can give you money on impressions because they don't have any profit unless someone clicks on ad.
