| I am new to this board and not sure if this is the area I should be placing this question? Could someone tell me what bible verse states that God will hear you whether you pray in a closet by yourself or in the house of the Lord with a croud. I'm not sure how the verse goes word by word. I have been looking for it for days and still haven't located it in the Bible. My friend is very sick and highly upset that she can not go to church every Sunday at this time and I have been trying to comfort her and letting her know that she does not have to God can still hear you whereever you are. If I can show her this in the Bible I think she will be alot better about it. Thanks in advance for your help. Duff79

| Re: Locating a Bible Verse The verse you are searching for is Matthew 6:5-6. "When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. God bless and keep you both! |
