Please pray for me and my baby girl

I'm not one to ask for help of any kind, but being bedridden has started to humble me a bit. I was told I was having a baby girl, and then told i had Placenta Previa, which would most likely keep me bedridden for the last few months of the pregnancy. Baby's dad and I were packing his belongings the week we found out. Things have been stressfull between us, for a while now, and decided it would be best if I did things on my own.Since I have been on bedrest he has stayed, but I don't know how much longer we will be able to live this way. I have three older kids, one who lives with me. My ex and I lost a baby girl in 2000, but I've since given everything of hers away, I couldn't bear to look at it. Now I'm not working, and he seems to slide on all the bills, there is rarely food in the house, and I have nothing for this baby. I have done what I can via telephone, but my family isn't supportive and I have only one real friend (she busy with her 4 kids) Any thoughts, prayers or help would be greatly appreciative. Today has been a very rough day, today I have to tell my son, he can't go to boy scout camp with the rest of his troop, ..we can't afford it. It breaks my heart. I don't know what to do, I've never felt so helpless.

I am really sorry things aren't going so well.

I have a suggestion about the boy scout camp, though. Have you checked to see if they offer scholarships? It seems even through school and many organizations you can get a reduced or even free camp/activity. Talk to the troop leader or call the area office right away.

Maybe you should call some county organizations to get help for yourself. Try WIC. You shouldn't go without proper nutrition. They will give you some food products and I don't think it is based on income.

Good luck!

I am currently on WIC, and I have asked about a scholorship, I still have to pay half... I used to work as a community resource volunteer, and helped to write a book, / directory for our community,.. unfortunatly most of the places to get help, are no longer around, and churches wont help unless you belong.

My heart goes out to you and your family i know exactly what you mean about the churches not wanting to help if you don't belong a couple of suggestions if i may add call your local health department for starters about the wic and talk to them about geting help for other programs ,Try the Salvation Army if you have one locally have you tried getting Food Stamps or Medical Card atleast temporarily until you can support your family again? If there is anything I can possibly do please Just PM me and let me know God Bless You and keep your faith He finds away to provide for your needs also talk to your Sons troop leadrer and see what they can do My son is in Boy Scouts sometimes they do fundraisers to help those that can't afford I know its pretty pricey for one week I believe its like 150 here
PS when is your baby due I may be able to help you out with baby clothing My neice just turned 5 months old she has outgrown alot

thank you, i am on wic,..
and i've tried to get help though the scouts for my son.
i do get medical, but was denied for food stamps until i can actually go in and apply. (sucks) I can only get out of bed for bathroom breaks, and to take a quick shower.

I've called several organizations, but not any luck as of yet, baby's dad works, but the paychecks are small, as he has had to take off much time to take care of me, and he also had to go to Montana for his grandfathers funeral last week.
any baby handme downs would be greatly appreciated. maybe when I'm back on my feet I can do something in return.

Phaedra is due 8-31-02, but due to the Previa, she will probably be early... thanks again

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. What a shame that State can't make an exception and come to you(considering the circumstances). My best friend went on WIC after the birth of her second son( it helped tremendously). I know she called the utility company and explained her situation and they have her on some sort of program that matches what she pays(a 50/50 match) so it's less outta her pocket. Just food for thought. I am afraid I don't have any baby stuff(clothes, etc) to send your way...my guys are almost 8 and 4 1/2.
I'll ask around though to see if anyone has anything that you may be able to use. Hey, if ever you feel you want/need to talk DO NOT hesitate to e-mail me/send me a PM. That's what friends are for! Hang in there.....with all of us putting our heads together we'll see what we can do! Hang in there.
((((((HUGS))))))

I am sorry to hear about your trouble. I know in girl scouts the rule of thumb is-they are not to be left out , that includes not having enough money. In that case the national folks kick in with money. I know boys scouts are ALOT different but I wonder if the national boy scouts would help out?

Just a thought, like I said I am not to familar with boy scouts

It's so easy to "fall through the cracks". Either people make "too much" to qualify YET they don't bring in enough to get by. GRRRRRR
Here at least your baby's father is TRYING ..........he's out working to try to support his family. I hope you get the help you need until you get back on your feet(no pun intended)

babys dad works, but has never been good with money,.. i used to handle all the bills,.. he wont let me anymore,.. and he keeps turning the acct upside down.

then to make matters worse, his ex showed up on my doorstep to serve papers on him for more support on his two other kids, this means more time off work to go to court two states over...like we can afford it... and by then i'll be 28weeks and possibly in the hospital... NO MORE STRESS!

we are trying to get my son a scholorship for scouts, but it wont pay it all.

I hope things start to look better for you! Take it as a good sign that they are doing the intake by phone - at least that way you will be in the system and if things change (like his income goes down or he does leave entirely), it will be easier to get someone to update things than to have to try to get in.

It seems that with your medical condition, he should be able to get a stay on those court papers. Does he have an attorney - even a court appointed one? If so, he should get in contact with them and explain the situation. If not, he really should get someone asap to step in because you can't just be left alone right now and you both need some help here.

How much is the difference between what the scholarship will pay for & the cost of camp? Maybe you could do an online fundraiser sort of thing to cover the difference?

If you'd like to chat, please IM me. I had to stay on bedrest as well with my kids, and I know it's so frustrating to just have to lie there day after day.

{{{hugs}}}

even with the scholorship its still like $100. i could never ask for that.

as far as him leaving me alone, he went to montana last friday, and went camping that weekend. he leaves at 730 am and most of the time gets home around 9pm. he does have a cricket phone so i can call if i need him.

I pray that you, your baby and your kids are ok.
My sister asked her husbands lawyer when his ex took him to court to get more child support to get him a credit counselor. The counselors job wasto help him prove he could not pay that much more without starving his other kids and to help him with dealing with money management. This worked for her.I do not know if it would help or not for you since you are under way too much stress.
Could you make a list of what you need for the baby? Some of us may have things you need tucked away in boxes.
Sending hugs as well.
