Definatly Surgery for Dad

We went to the Urologist today and was told that Dad definatly has cancer all other test showed up good his PSA count was 1.3 which was very good as far as he can tell there are no other signs of Cancer in any other section but the lower lobe of the left kidney in the pole so he is going to have surgery withing the next two weeks to remove the pole of the kidney the Renal Mass Carcinoma is approximatly 2 inches in diameter and will require several inches to be removed from the kidney this is a very serious surgery he will have to quit taking his Blood thinners for 8 days before surgery and take other medications to prepare his boidy he also has to go through a stress test due to Heart atack last year I asked Doc if he will hjave to take Chemo or other meds and he said he felt this was caught at the earliest stage and felt that there will probally be no other necessary procedures for this kidney but we can only hope there are no hidden suprises I believe I am more nervous than Dad is I am just scared out of my wits I cancelled my trip to Gatlinburg because I will be caring for dad I told him he will come stay with me after his surgery cause he can't do anything and will have drainage tubes and other things to take care Please remain to keep him in your prayers thank you so much
