We are hanging in there...still no idea what is wrong with Techman, but we are taking it one day at a time...

Thanks to you all - well we know that part of it is Fifth's Disease which is very painful and rare in adults. This has been going on since 01/31 and Techman hasn't been able to work let alone be comfortable in his own skin.

The Fifth's Disease is a very painful attack on the joints and there is a huge amount of swelling, so his feet, ankles, hands and wrists are always in pain. He is on Vicodyn (sp?) and Napercin (sp?) and they are now looking into the possibility of Lupus. Gosh, while I don't feel that that is what it is - now that they sent that word out - I need to know that it is NOT.

Nights are the worst, he is not able to sleep through, the pain wakes him up after a few hours, so he is up 3-4 times each night in pain. I wake up with him wanting to help, but there is absolutely nothing I can do. So we are exhausted.

In any event, that is why I haven't been here much - just very busy helping my wonderful hubby and trying to get life's jobs done!

Thank you all for your wonderful prayers and throughts...it is appreciated far beyond your imagination.

I'm so sorry to hear about the Fifth's Disease - I know it's incredibly painful & difficult to deal with. I don't know if you believe in using homeopathic cures, but I do know someone who also had to deal with Fifth's as an adult and Byronia was incredibly helpful to her. Perhaps it could help Techman as well.

I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts & hope that the doctors will be able to help him soon.
