The doctors have told my sister that his heart may be permanently weakened from this, but she says that he's looking much better and was finally able to keep down something a little more solid last night. He's being moved from PICU to the general pediatric ward today, and they're hopeful that he will be able to go home on Saturday. Thank you all for your prayers & positive thoughts! |

Sending hugs and prayers your way again.

My nephew was finally able to go home on Wednesday (sorry but I couldn't log on while we were out of town, or I would have posted this earlier). Thank you all for your prayers & well wishes. My sister said he's still looks a little under the weather, but he had a doctor's appointment this afternoon and they said he could return to school on a half day schedule starting next week, so he must really be getting better. |

Kat, I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner! I'm glad your Nephew is getting better. I went through the same experience with the flu a few years back - couldn't keep down water and ended up passing out I was so dehydrated. It was a horrible experience and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I will keep him in my thoughts and pray he will continue to get well! |
