A Prayer For My Sister..........

I'm sorry everyone. I always seem to come to DOD when I have problems. I just felt the need to come here and post a prayer for my sister. My sister has been in the hospital since Saturday evening. After running some tests, the Doctor said it didn't look good at all. He said he was pretty sure it was colon cancer.

Well, they ran more tests today and it is cancer. They are going to operate tomorrow. They won't know till they go in if they can get it all or not. Then of course, chemo and all that. So she's pretty scared right now, as we all are.

So, I just wanted to post a prayer for her................I love you, Leah...................




Dear God

I know I only seem to come to you in troubled times......Well, here I am again. I know You already know the reason I'm praying to You today. I am going to ask for your help once again.

I pray that You help Leah get through this. I know You'll do what's best in the long run, but please don't let her suffer. I am praying that you guide the Doctors hands tomorrow, that you let him see clearly, and that he gets all the cancer from her body.

I pray that You will let her have a complete recovery and that the cancer does not come back. She's been through so much in her life, Lord. She has lost her son Joey, when he was only 18. She doesn't have much of a relationship with her other son, and doesn't get to see her only grandchild.

Please God, let her stay on this Earth for a while yet. But if You do feel it's time for her to go, whether it be tomorrow or in a few years, please help her to go peacefully, and help us deal with the grief.

I know I'm being selfish, and asking for a lot. But I know prayer really does help. And if it's Your will, it will be done. I know I haven't been real close to her these last few years, but she needs us all close at this time in her life. Please Lord, help her through this.

And please Lord, give her only remaining child some sense, to quit putting himself first and to put her first for once. I know You'll do what's for the best, whether it's what we hope for or not. I just pray that You please help Leah find peace, no matter what the outcome.

Dear Jesus, I just agree with Karens prayer. Please have your hands upon her sister Lord. If its your will please heal her. Give the doctors wisdom, guide them Lord. When she begins treatment I just ask that the chemo will attack every single cancer cell, that they would all be defeated. Please strengthen her sister. Let her know how much You love her. Please bring reconciliation between her and her son.

Please be her encouragement and hope. And I pray the same thing for Karenpe. I just ask Lord that you would put a hedge of protection around this family, set your angels around them to guard them and keep them safe. Walk with them through this, and please Lord, Let them feel How close you are.

Awww Karen..what a beautiful prayer..it wasn't JUST words, it was from the heart. Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers hon'. I have to believe everything happens for a reason. I also have to believe all things work out in one way or another.

Dear Lord,

I add to Karen's prayer my own request for You to remain close to Karen, her sister and their families. This is a troubling time for them and I know Your presence will be soothing and calming.

We may never fully understand the tests You put us through, but we know You are always near and that the answers from Your tests will come to us eventually.

Thank You Lord for all You've blessed us all with. I thank You in advance for the love, health and strength, You'll give Leah.

Great news!! They got ALL the cancer!! Tests show it's NOT in her Lymph Nodes nor in her blood (work)!! So far, so good.
