Don't stop praying!

I had temporarily left DOD in an effort to get through our national tragedy. I've have personally been having a difficult time coping with all that happened, is currently going on, and what may come. All of this fear has been questioning my faith - not my intentions, but Satan's. I know fear is one of his tools and I am reaffirming my faith so that this fear will be banished from my life. Matthew 6:25-34 is about Jesus' teachings not to worry, "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" For those of you, like me, who have been worrying yourself sick, turn off the TV and open your Bibles. When I have sat down to pray or look to His word, an amazing calmness just overtakes my body - what comfort there is in the Lord! Live your lives....don't sit there worrying and waiting to die! I am here to take back my life and resume my daily activities. Please don't feel I had abandoned DOD, I just needed time to get a grip on things and I am still working on that. Please don't stop praying as things start returning to "normal." Please pray for those like me, who have been having a difficult time returning to their lives. And continue to pray for our President and our nation's leaders, that they may be given divine guidance. And also pray for our military that they be protected in this fight against terrorism. We need God now more than ever!

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for all that you are and all you have done for us. You are in control, Lord and sovereign above all things. Please wrap your arms around us, your children, so that we may be comforted, Lord. Cast away our worries and give us strength, for you will not forsake us. Thank you for your hand in the tragedies of Sept. 11th. Those planes were not full, Lord and I know that was your doing. There could have been 50,000 people in the WTC towers, but there were only about 20,000 that morning. We have heard of many accounts of people running late that morning......again, your doing. You held those towers up, Lord, so that about 2/3 of the people inside could get out. Thank you for that, Lord! And at the Pentagon, you directed that plane to the section where renovation was going on......so many more lives at the Pentagon could have been lost without your hand in that. I'm sure many are questioning your presence in all of this, but my eyes are open, Lord, and I ask that you give us the strength and guidance to witness to those that question you. May their eyes and hearts be open and may you use this as an opportunity to revive us, Lord, to seek You first! Amen!

I have found myself closer to God since Sept. 11th and I find it very comforting.
