Prayers requested for possible job loss.

major client has pulled rug. A large number: up to
2 dozen will be pulled in my company, & the client's managers/employees themselves are unsure.

So have to find new client pronto!
(Preferably local, so can stay in newly bought house & stability for new baby girl)

Request for prayers during this stressful time of starting search for new client in technology field! May resumes be viewed positively & openings come up as meeting needs.

(This is more stressful than actually doing the work! Because I can feel my nerves in my chest building for the past two days! But now it's confirmed & now I have to assist in searching........)

You know, I *really* do think things happen for a reason. Maybe something better is on the way and you just can't see that at the moment.

Relax the best you can. Some things are out of our hands BUT some things we can control.

Perhaps I should add that if I/we donot find a new client I may have to get out of this country as I am on work permit visa, but processing is already a stage or two before green card. So it is doubly important that I/we find one for this process to continue & stability (for now is preferred)

Are you on an H1B visa? I worked with a fellow who had that and had applied for his green card. I believe that if you are 180 days from being approved for your green card, you can still get it even though your sponsoring employer laid you off. You can check the status of your H1B at this site (I think....)

Have been H1B already for some years now, starting processing for next step, but not the 180.

So still have to stay put.

My prayers are with you. The company my husband works for is being bought and they may do away with his position, so I know what you are going through. It is scary, but hopefully everything will work out in the end.
