Faith Walk

Hey everyone! We have two churches that are combing together doing a faith walk! We will walk 2 miles! During this walk we will be praying for different needs! I was wondering if any of you wanted or had someone you wanted added to our prayer list! I will make a list and carry it with me!
The walk will be Sunday at 1pm. I will check back before I go and see if anyone is interested.
When we walk we are activating our faith and trusting that the Lord is going to move on our needs!
Pray for us during this walk!

Re: Faith Walk

That's wonderful, June. I will be praying for you and would love it if you'd add Lisa and my Aunt Leona to the prayer list. Thanks. Dave, our son is doing the Relay For Cancer walk that's yearly - he's the team Captain and he does it in memory of his grandparents every year. You're doing such a good thing.
Hugs,
Marilyn

Re: Faith Walk

That's so neat that you have the faith walks like that where you are. It's the first I'd ever heard of them - wish we did them here too.

Re: Faith Walk

They are great! It is a wonderful act of faith! There was 44 of us on the walk, that included women, children and men that ranged from age 2 years old to 84 year old lady!
Pray that the Lord will send a faith walk your way (I will pray to) We just pick a starting point, middle and a ending point. Pray, sing or just meditate as you go. Our Sunday school class made little posters to wear with Bible verses on faith....................even us adults wore some of them. Was a beautiful day for it and I expect to see a difference in the things we prayed and walked for.

Re: Faith Walk

Thanx June for doing the faith walk.

Thanx Marilyn for asking for me to be included in the faith walk & thanx to your son Dave for doing the Cancer Relay.
(Means alot to our family with all the cancer we've been thru')!

Debbie - I'm so sorry to hear of your job loss after 21 years, that's a grieving process in itself. Praying new doors to happiness open up for you with this life change.

Re: Faith Walk

I wanted to sign up for the "Cancer Center Walk" - but I hate the "asking for donations part" & even thought of being a volunteer.

Good thing I didn't now......I believe it's this Sunday & I'll be in no shape for anyone I'm sure.

Re: Faith Walk

Thanks for asking Lisa! It went wonderful! It was a beautiful day and there were 44 of us on the walk! We ranged in age 2 to 84 years old! It was wonderful! Selby fell down 4 times and scratched his little knees and legs up on the black top but just kept getting up and walking on........kind of like we have to do! It was wonderful and I am looking for more answered prayers!

Re: Faith Walk

Thanx to all of you who participated on the Faith Walk & so glad the day was good weather for it as well.

Go Selby (seems like he'll be what people say about me......I pick myself up & keep going on).

I'm also looking for answered prayers (or should I say now, just answers).......

You are very welcome! I consider it a honor to do the Lords work!
Selby sure is a case. We have to pick ourselves up and keep going, but make sure you let the Lord help you get up!

One day you will understand!

Re: Faith Walk

Wow, June,
Sounds like you did great, Selby included, on the Faith Walk. And had a good time too!
Way to go!
God Bless you!

Dave did the Relay for Cancer - he raised almost $5,000.00 (he's the team captain), and they had a good time too. He's already planning for next years.

Hugs,
Marilyn

Re: Faith Walk

June/H,

I've already been told not to be so stubborn & independent - 'cuz there's "always" a "helping hand" (& I took it as God seeing fit that I'm okay now).

Kat/M,
WOW - $5000.00 for relay for Cancer!!
Pat him on the back for me, will ya'!!
