Thanks for all the continued thoughts and prayers. I started the first meds (birth control pill - very ironic, huh) for our invitro. I start daily injections for our in-vitro two weeks from tomorrow (the 23rd of July)...those go on for about two weeks, then I start a different type of daily injections for about 7-10 days, where I'll be monitored by ultrasounds everyday or every other day. After that, I'll be put under for an egg retrieval, they'll fertilize them & 3 or 5 days later, I'll go back in for the embryo transfer.

My DH has convinced me that we're not going to think about babies all of June/July & we're just going to go out and have a good time together.

LOL, well I couldn't completely stop, seeing as how I've started receiving all the meds & all, but I think we did a great job keeping all of it off our minds (or at least just not ALWAYS on our minds) until about last week. I had an appt. on Tuesday, so of course I had to be ready to talk to the dr. w/ my questions, etc, since you don't get many opportunities to meet w/ the Dr.

Change of plans - I started my first injections TODAY, which moves our entire protocol up a week...we will now be having our egg retrieval, fertilization and embryo transfer the week of Aug. 6th!!!

Hey girl how are things going? Continued prayers!

Hey everyone! Thanks for the continued prayers. I've been on my stimulating meds (stimulates my system to produce lots of eggs) for five days now. I went for my first ultrasound today since starting the meds & things are progressing well. I will go again on Wed. to see how it's progressing then & then probably every day after that through the weekend. My egg retrieval & embryo transfer will be happening NEXT WEEK! I'll be on bed rest for a few days through all of it, but I cannot wait to get the ball rolling!

mmr9 - you are continually in my prayers. Please PM me if you have any questions about the IVF process...I surely hope that God works a miracle for you, though & that you don't end up needing it!
