| Re: Hubby needs prayers now Vic has pre-op blood work Thurs. 10AM & surgery is scheduled for next Wed. tho' we haven't been told the time yet. Of course I'm worried & stressed, but believe it or not in my opinion I'm holding it together. Perhaps we'll both lose it when we finally are told the Patholgy results? Right now - it was nice for us to just be home & actually sleep in our bed & him not eating hospital food. (Little things that we took for granted are meaning more now). One good DOD note: his prescription was 1 of 300 listed for only $4.00 on Walmarts prescription drug program. Some of the savings bought another large candle - 'cuz I always have a candle lit & this time it's for my hubby! I really, really appreciate all the prayers & warm wishes sent our way before this for bro' John, MIL & now Hubby! THANX !!

| Re: Hubby needs prayers now Lisa, You and Vic hang in there, my prayers are with you both. My Dad had surgery for his aneurysm, which the Dr. found during a routine exam and there aren't or weren't any sypmtoms with his either - and that surgery went well. So, don't worry about that right now. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't get approved for help at the hospital - you should have no problem qualifying. Update us as you can, enjoy being home right now, and prayers for the surgery to go well, and successfully. Gentle Hugs, Marilyn

| Re: Hubby needs prayers now Thanx Marilyn. We went for pre-op screening & found out we went for nothing. He had already had EKG, Angiogram 3 different types of Cat Scans 2 different types of Chest X-rays "& had already gone under anastegia". Only thing they need to do is a blood test & will do that the day before surgery. I'll PM ya' later on a ? you may be able to answer, last time I tried PM it didn't go thru & I know I have 2 emails so I'll try a 2nd. this time if 1st. gets returned undeliverable. |

| Re: Hubby needs prayers now Lisa, Continued prayers, and at least you know everything is ready for the surgery. Even though you went back to the hospital for nothing! If the pm doesn't go through, you know my email address.... Hugs, Marilyn

| Re: Hubby needs prayers now Fridays appt. determined hubby has "Clinical" Stage 3 Transitional Cell Carcinoma. Surgery is Weds 2/21 for removal of Bladder & more. They say its a 4 to 5 hour surgery at the least depending on what they see once they've opened him up. Hospital recovery period they say is 4 to 5 days. Details about chemo are unsure right now. They'll do 2nd. biopsy with piece from surgery & see if "Pathology" Stage is 3 or 4. Chemo seems like it'll also be needed too, since it reduces cancer returning somewhat. Aneyrsm is 4.5 cm which they say won't affect his surgery, but hubby must see a Cardiologist after surgery etc.....is dealt with, 'cuz if it gets to 5.5 cm or larger stroke, heart attack & blood clot which can cause blockages can happen. Thanx for everyones prayers before & continued for my whole family, they are truly appreciated! |

| Re: Hubby needs prayers now Thanx again to all for prayers & please keep 'em coming! "They say" (whoever "they" are) that God will never give you more than you can take ..................& what you go thru' will make you stronger.........I'm trying my hardest to be strong during all this as usual. |

| Re: Hubby needs prayers now Hubby's surgery was supposed to be 4 to 5 hours & ended up being 7.25 hours! Complications arose & whole tumor could not be removed as originally planned. He definitely will need Radiation to try shrinking rest of tumor & Chemo after that. (Complications were NOT with his Aorta Aneyrsm tho', & that will still need checking by a Cardiac Specialist later on). He wasn't expecting to be in the Intensive Care Unit & was kinda' surprised. I told him it's just 'cuz he's hooked up to lots of stuff & they're making sure he's okay with his Aneyrsm after the surgery ended up being longer. He's not gonna' remember me even visiting him after his surgery tonight tho' I'm sure. He has a PCA (morphine self administered button) & nurse said he's doing "really good" & not using it much after such a long surgery. |

| Re: Hubby needs prayers now Hi Lisa, Still praying for you and Vic. It sounds like they're being very careful with him, which is a good thing, especially in a hospital. He's not using the morphine pump much - that's good or better for him too. Even though they couldn't remove the whole thing, it sounds like he came through it well. Hang in there!!! Hugs, Marilyn
