Re: My husband lost his job today, prayers needed!!!

Sending prayers your way.. My hubby has been out of work for almost a year now and jobs are very scarce here.. we are hanging onto our home and paying our bills as best we can do.. We cut corners everywhere we can.. we buy groceries little at a time.. It will work out, in the meantime, keep thinking positive.. and hang onto each other..you will make it through.. I keep telling my hubby that we have each other and our health.. the rest will work out.. and we have hung in there for a very long time with only 40% of the income we once had...

Re: My husband lost his job today, prayers needed!!!

Make the tears "Energy" to deal with your new situation, that's what I "try" to do & do far it's been serving me well.

I have no job & husband now can't work either 'cuz 2/8 Drs found Tumor in him & it's cancer (& we have NO Health Insurance)!!

hey could not remove Tumor & check right lymph node at surgery. We find out 3/7 if cancer went from
Clinical Stage 3" to
Pathology Stage 4" Cancer (& Stage 4 is the HIGHEST ONE)!!!

3/7 we find out definite treatment plan which Oncologist's have already prepared us that it would "probably" be......
MON-FRI both Radiation & Chemo & "UP TO 6 WKS"!!

Anbody wanna' ride the roller coaster We're on ?????

Balletrina, Cathy and Misothere --
You've all got it hard right now - it's a tough economy, I think, no matter who says we're recovering, I don't see it here. I see more jobs being lost. We're not working either - disabled. Just make the best of it and we'll stick together.
Gentle Hugs,
Marilyn (with prayers)

Re: My husband lost his job today, prayers needed!!!

Hi,
Prayers continued for your husband to find a good job and for your family. Gentle hugs to you as well. It's a tough market here in CT too, right now as companies lay off and also move out of either the state or the country, but our son found a good job, recently too, so there's always hope and you will be in our prayers - thanks for the update. Keep the updates coming, we'll keep the prayers going!
Hugs,
Marilyn

Re: My husband lost his job today, prayers needed!!!

Just wondering if coffeebeaned suggestion about checking into Civil Svc test was considered & checked into if available?

Either way - I'm praying somehow a good job or means of income soon come your way real soon!

In the meantime it sounds like your doing well surviving on 40% of income. Maybe Foodstamp program would help you stretch your food budget to be healthy in the mean time.

Re: My husband lost his job today, prayers needed!!!

Nope, no job for the hubby yet. We are almost getting by on what I make at my job. Doing the surveys online really help, I've been able to bring in about $200 a month doing those, so that money for groceries! But the debt we are racking up on our credit cards makes it hard for me to sleep at night.

Thanks again everyone for your concern. I'll keep you posted
