I ask for prayers and a Christmas Miracle,I had to put my son in Residental care,and Last Thurs I was served eviction papers,My Family has to be out Tommorrow 12/26 at 5pm,I am praying that God gives us till the 15th of Jan so I can finish working on a Trailor that I can rent and put my stuff in a storage unit,I am living on 100.00 a week,There are no jobs here I have tried and tried.Please Pray for a Christmas Miracle Thanks Leslie

I definitely will pray hard for a Christmas Miracle Leslie. [I]Where I live a person $100.00 would not even cover child care cost for 1 child in order to be able to work F.T.I]

Praying hard for your family. What better time to have a miracle than Christmas? Have you tried calling Legal Aid or Legal Services? They are free and might be able to get you the time you need as you surely have a need for them.

First, (((Big Hugs))) and also we'll keep praying for you. You're not alone, you've got the Lord on your side! (and us too)
Hang in there, I know this is not easy and I'm sure you're afraid too. It will work out. God takes care of His own. Hopefully you'll find a good storage area and be able to stay in the apartment till the time you need to fix up your new home, that landlord probably needs a prayer or two as well. Will do that as well and keep praying for you and your family.

Hi Leslie,

Glad your still able to stay there, & I just had a thought you may want to check out. This may sound crazy, but while you're calling Storage Unit places anyway.........ever think to ask if they need an "On site" attendant?

My uncle worked for one of the major companies that the Gov't. subcontracted to in our NE Area. He got offered lots more cash, relocation fees & an Apt. to work for the same Co. in the Kwajiian Islands - but it had to be a 5 yr contract at least. Since his kids were adults he went for it. He figured he'd make more dough & take early retirement.

When contract was up, he found out the Co. hadn't taken out proper taxes & Social Security for him & his wife to live off of. He moved back here & needed to get an Apt. & start working again.

When he sold his home 'cuz Co. paid Island housing & he thought he was all set for "future". He & his wife took a trip to Australia, & paid for his "son's" wedding on the Island - including flight for wedding party & "hut's" for a week for all of them too! (Basically blew his money from the house sale). Not good financial planning!

Now not in good financial status anymore, my uncle & his wife needed a storage unit til' finding an Apt. while he & his wife lived with his son & his new wife. (Awkward)!

While looking into Storage Units - my uncle also mentioned to the owner of storage place that he had just moved & was recently retired & needed to find an Apt. & work.

The owner asked my uncle if he'd like a job as an "On Site Attendant" (with Mondays only off) & said an Apartment came with it as part of compensation. Less pay to my uncle, BUT also less taxes to pay out & a place to live as long as he kept that job! SO MY UNCLE TOOK THE JOB!

That was 3-4 years ago & now uncle's mom in law is going blind & uncle's boss said he's give him ANOTHER Apt. for her to live next door to them so they can care for her!

There's also little perks too, when somebody does not pay the storage & they put notice in paper & noboday comes back to pay & claim stuff. Then my uncle gets to "go thru" while clearing out the units & keep what he wants & get rid of the rest quickly. That way they're open for another renter.

Uncle has gotten lots of things from furniture to electronics to "toothpaste samples". He gave my dad cases of travel tubes & envelope type samples & me & my sisters etc.... haven't bought toothpaste in months! He even gave some out on halloween ALONG with the candy of course - LOL !

Guess the storage unit owner was an "angel on earth" for my uncle & how ever you find your way thru' your hard times now........think of it as Gods way of taking care of you in your time of need! Hang in there Leslie!
