Thumbs up Please read - Christmas Angel adopt program for sick children

verwon said that it is okay for me to post this...

The Bridge of Dreams ‘Christmas Angel adopt program” [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

Most of our kids families are having a difficult time keeping their bills paid and can’t buy their kids anything for Christmas. So we decided to have a Christmas Angel program. This is for the sick child and their young siblings (not for the parents or adult siblings). We have several families posted in our forum. If you are interested in adopting a family for Christmas go to the main site at the link above and then click on "forum". I think you may have to register to read our forum. After you register you will get an e-mail with a link to click to activate your account.

Then you can read our forum, the Christmas Angel adopt program will be the first post you see. If you find a family that you would like to adopt for Christmas just reply under their post. The Mother’s name and e-mail address are in their post so that you can contact them with any questions you may have and also for a mailing address to send the Christmas box.

Please don’t confuse this program with our regular adopt program, On the main site there is a link on the left side of the page that says “Adopt a Bridge Kid” please don’t click on that one, that is a completely different program. That is a program where you adopt a Bridge Kid and send them “Happy mail” all year long.

Some of these kids will not have another Christmas, please help if you can. If you have any questions please e-mail me at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

Thank you and God bless you
Debbie

Re: Please read - Christmas Angel adopt program for sick children

Hi,
Our Town Hall, teeny one as it's a small town, kind of like June's town, does familys at Christmas too. You don't pick out the family, but you can contribute a toy, or things that are needed for the entire family, for "any" family. So, in that way, if you can't do a whole family, together the town and the Town Hall's Human Services manages to get them all done. A little different, but it also is nice
June, can't wait to hear what family you picked!
Deb, I wish I could do a whole one this year!!!!!!!!
God Bless you both!

Kat

Yes this is a great service being offered...you and your group are doing great! And thanks June for doing this and for your post today (I had missed this post the first time around, so I am just now seeing it)!

I'm not able to find where I am suppose to be looking at...all I see is that [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] link, not the Christmas one. Is it still there or have they all been accounted for (that would be awesome if they have already been all taken care of, woudn't it! )

Glad you found this. It is a wonderful idea!
When you go thru that link, on the left side is several topics. Go to the forum one and it is in there. I am not sure if you have to reg or not but I am sure glad I did! Yes it is still there and no there are several that are not done! Praying that God lays them on someones heart to do. I wish we could do one, but our finances just won't allow for any more as of not, but I know God can send someone to each of them!
I picked Steven & siblings for our Church's family! I just don't know what to do to get it posted. I emailed the family and it was a answered prayer for them. Now I have to get it posted, soon as I know what I am doing lol

Re: Please read - Christmas Angel adopt program for sick children

Our town is real small too, but Girl Scout Troups "pick a family in need anomynously & they're told what the kids "supposedly asked for" (but what kids/tweeny's) would ask for "socks"!

So we bought what was "on thier list that my daughter picked out", & also bought "affordable & maybe appreciated things like costume jewelry & games or books.

I'm laid off & I'm buying my own family used bookes at Library sales & even got 1 thing at a yard sale, that I know would be appreciated. - SO I can't give money to Deb's TOTALLY WORTHY cause - but hope people who can afford it do. (I'VE ALWAYS DONATED TO TOYS FOR TOTS)
