I will keep you all in my prayers. I too believe in miracles and have seen some. Hang in there and know that there are a lot of people praying for your family and for Lawrence.

Thanks Debbie! I talked to my sis tonight! WOW what great report I got! Lawrence woke up today and he tried to say hi to my sis. She said he smiled and stayed awake most of her visit! His kidneys are producing again...today they produced more than yesterday! If he keeps this up they will stop his dialys's and take him completely off his adavan and he can wake up all the way. They were doing his physical therapy and he wiggled out of their straps. I am so excited.......can't wait to get there tomorrow! We are leaving around 10 am and will be gone biggest of the day if not all day! Please pray that he keeps this up! Thank you all for your prayers! I know that without them where he would be! (((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS TO ALL))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

| Re: Prayers Gosh I am so excited! Had a wonderful visit with Lawrence yesterday! He woke up for a few minutes and he smiled at us We told him we were going to go down to get us a bit to eat and he frowned at us. Broke our hearts, and the nurses said not to feel bad bc that means he is showing emotions It was just a great visit! He is off the kidney dialys and will stay off as long as his kidneys keep producing. They even have a special chair that he got to sit in yesterday! First time since July 8 that he has sit up It was so exciting for us! It was hard on him bc he is stiff from laying so long. He is not all the way awake yet. They said that it would take a couple of weeks for the ativan to completely leave his system (that is the meds that have kept him under) So hopefully the next time I see him he will be completely awake! Thanks so much for the continued prayers! I know that without God and prayers he would not be here today! You all truely are a blessing to me and it means most that I can count on youns for prayers! Thank you ALL very much! I also have to say thank you for the cards! Lawrence will sure be suprised when he wakes to see all of them! He celebrated his 51st birthday the first of this month!

Thanks Kat! I wish I could say the great news was long lived. Yesterday made mom gone 2 years, so I got my boys on the bus and went back to bed. I told Danny I was not going to be up on the time of moms death! Needless to say I wasn't but I received a call from my sis waking me up. Lawrence had a back set again. His heart rate dropped so low that they had to put him on meds and his blood pressure dropped dramatically! I haven't heard yet today how he is doing. He is in God's hands and thats pretty much all I can say. I am just praying that if he is going to survive that God bring him on but if not then not to let him suffer any more!We will have Thanksgiving diner with Danny's side of the family Thursday and then with my side on Saturday. Yes, I dread it very much! We will be giving thanks for the miracle that God has already performed in Lawrence's life. We have so much to be thankful for!

Talked to sis last night and she said that Lawrence has a bacterial infection and they think his lines caused it. They also think that is the reason for his backset! I pray they are right! My sis that is over him had a talk with him and told him not to worry if he needed to go on to go, she would care for Michael! She said she left the room and when she came back he was trying to respond! Gosh this is such a rollercoaster for us, let alone what it is for Lawrence and Michael! Please continue to pray for him and Michael!

June, so sorry for Lawrence's set backs & I DO understand! Especially about Michael, 'cuz my bro' John has a 13 yr. old daughter & we are ALL on that roller coaster ride we did NOT buy a ticket for! I also DO understand about your mom passing 2 yrs ago - (it's been a bit over 2 1/2 yrs. since my mom needed to "travel to the other side too"! You're blessed like me tho' - 'cuz you have your sis' who lives close to give reports/updates on Lawrence. Our family does the "telephone tree" thing & who ever visits updates us too. It "IS" Thanksgiving day - so BE WITH YOUR FAMILY & give thanks for what progress Lawrence has made & for your all the love you all share. Also remember the footprints poem you are NOT alone! |
