STROKE
I pray as much as i can but more prays would be nice..Sunday night that just past my dad had a stroke.Hes ok but could be better..Please pray with me..Hes a young man...


P.S...if anyone knows what im going threw and would like to talk to me about it to help me threw this hard time would be nice...

Hi,

Our prayers are with you as well. Strokes are hard on both your Dad and the rest of the family as you don't know at the time of the stroke how bad it is. It 'sounds' like they've done the testing and it wasn't a bad one. That's great news.
Please feel free to talk about it if you want to here, there are some very caring people here and Lord knows, we have medical problems as well.
Dads are very special people, as are Moms. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you as your Dad recovers. Hang in there.... k?

Hi I am so sorry to hear about your dads stroke. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I understand what your going through my grandma had 2 strokes back to back about a month ago, she's in a rehab center now. Please feel free to email me if you would like to talk.

Awww im sorry to hear that..my dad only had 1 so far..and i hope thats all he is going to have...what kinda of stroke did your gramdmother have do you know?? they told me all my dad had was a little one..but it dont matter its still a big big deal...is your grandmother back to her self yet???

Hey everyone im just updated you guys on my dad...Hes doin better then he was 2 weeks ago..its been 2 weeks today since he had the stroke.he still weak and still in the hospital...He doesnt eat the much cuz i guess when he does he doesnt keep it downw or something...his vison isnt 100%...the hospital came me some movies to watch about stroke and they kinda help me but not that much...One big question i have is what can he eat??? i dont want him to have another one i want to do everything so he cant get antoher one...

P.S thanks for all those prayers for my dad and family..would cant thank you guys enough...LET GOD HELP US THREW THIS HARD TIME>..god bless everyone....

I will think of you today, both my dad's parents had strokes and they were only in their 50's. I will pray for you as I know that helps.

Hey everyone just updated you on my dad..He went to a differnt hospital to get rehap so he can walk again..He went to the other hospital about a week ago and what happpen a day later that he went in there was that he was mad at the docs and nurse and wanted to come home and everything else he wouldnt talk to anyone wouldnt do nething but then a day later he said he was sorry to everyone...Just that he wasnt happy..what would make him do that anyone know????????cuz hes never like that at home or nething..But hes back to himslef now..which is good he comes for every weekend they are not sure when he will be back home for good thro.wwhich sucks...Neways thanks for all the prayes guys...

It sounds like your Dad is doing better - as to what made him act the way he did when they transferred him to the other hospital for rehab; he probably was more scared than angry at anyone, my Dad was like that too. It's hard on your and the rest of the family, but think of it this way. Nobody really likes to be in a hospital, we "all" want to go home, and then to have to go to another one for the rehab (which will really help him), he probably wasn't thinking of the help he'd be getting, but how much he wanted to go home!

I remember once when my Dad was in the hospital and they wanted him to go to a rehab facility, that he said to the Dr.'s, that he was going HOME and they couldn't stop him! He did say that, right in the hospital and I think the whole floor heard him! But it was just because he was scared of going to yet "another" place and he never acted like that either - he was afraid too.

It sounds like your Dad is doing really well as he's coming home for the weekends already (I know it seems like a long time to you), been there, but soon he'll be home for good and till then, we'll keep praying and please keep us updated! Hang in there yourself, sometimes the family goes through at least as much (emotionally) as the person does who is sick. God Bless you and yours,
