Re: STROKE

Sorry I haven't posted before, got my own "life challenges" going on, but want to tell you about my families experience's with strokes.

My grandma had one in her 80's & was fine except for one side of mouth (I think right side) being paralyzed.

My dad had one about 7 years ago, & also had heart attack & was "paddled back to life". He had quadruple bypass surgery & is still here loving & taking care of us!

There's a test that can tell if you have blockage in your coronary artery & my dad didn't get it & had the stroke. (After that we were told he had 99% blockage in his coronary artery)! Sound like you're young. Please remember your own dad's stroke when filling out medical information to help yourself!

Re: STROKE

Hi Nanci,
That is good news that your Dad has gained some weight. Healing takes time, but it sounds like he is and it's wonderful that you have the close-kind of family where everyone is pitching in and helping your parents. God Bless you and yours, any updates, we'd love to hear them!

Hugs,

Kat

Re: STROKE

Kat's right about healing taking time & it's good you have a close family (like ours) to pitch in.

This is a repeat of part of a prior post, but it "should be" important advice to you (& family members).

There's a test that can tell if you have blockage in your coronary artery & my dad didn't get it & had the stroke. (After that we were told he had 99% blockage in his coronary artery)!

Hi,
That's so great that he's back driving, it'll do both him and your Mom a lot of good and help him to feel better about things. Thanks for the update

Re: STROKE

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas babygirlnancy.

Hope your dad's check up went well. How's mom doing with going back to work, she's been thru emotional stuff with this going on with your dad too, ya' know.

Please remember his medical history when filling out your own medical information - it's in your best interest.

Wishing your family New Years Blessings!

Re: STROKE

Hi!
Thanks for the update, you're still in my prayers Sounds like things are going much better and for your Dad to lose weight, that just might take some more time, also the pills that are making him drowsy, those might take just his system getting used to.
And.............you all made it to another year, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugs,

Marilyn
