Just so upset and worried, had to post.

I know you will all understand.

Andy (for those of you who don't know, this is my hubby) has had a swelling behind the right ear for awhile now. The doc tried anti-inflammatories and such to see if it would clear up on its own, but it had just gotten worse.

It seems to be in the lymph nodes, as that is the swollen areas and it is above the skull bone, but under the skin, but it is affecting him very badly. His has blurred vision, vertigo, migraines, pain all down his left side, his left side also feels like it does when you arm or leg falls asleep, except it is that entire side of his body, including his face. He has had trouble thinking and processing stuff, as well as with cognitive reasoning. He had an abcess awhile ago, that had spread to his lymph nodes, so we are hoping it is just leftover from that, perhaps some that didn't totally clear up, or perhaps a viral infection as all his symptoms seem to match that.

The weekend before last, we had company, my friend, who I had just told about his problem the night before, when she took me to the pharmacy to pick up his prescription, walked up behind him on Sunday and whapped him on the head hard, repeatedly, like his head was a basketball and it has just been getting worse ever since them.

Please send all your good thoughts and vibes our way. If this is something that will stop him from finishing school, or affect his brain and intelligence, he is going to be so devastated.

I am trying to hold back tears as I type this, hoping it turns out to be nothing serious and something they can easily fix. Anyway, he goes in for a Cat Scan at our local hospital here in Punxsy, our docs office is having it done here so he doesn't have to drive all the way to their office anymore than he has too. So I am hoping we will get some results soon so they can clear this up.
