Desperately need prayers for my husband

My husband, Tom, has been suffering from liver disease for about a year now and in the past couple of months it has gotten very bad. His liver is failing rapidly and just this week was put in a nursing home (he's only 52). He was put there for physical therapy to try to gain some strength back, but the doctor took me into the hall yesterday and said that it doesn't look good for Tom and that he may never come home. He needs a liver transplant, but it will take over 6 months to get on a list. I asked the doctor how long he thought Tom might have, weeks? months? All he said was "not a long time."

This is devasting to our family. We have been together 25 years and have a 16 year old daughter.

Your prayers would be greatly appreciated. It's the only hope we have. Thank you!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes and prayers, it means so much. I go see Tom every day, he's holding steady for now and has started some physical therapy using his arms. I think next week they will start working his legs to get him out of bed. My hope is that he is eventually strong enough to come home again, but we are taking it one day at a time.
