Didn't want to go over board on my life history,but fiqured if it helps encourage someone else,hey why not right? Divorced/separated in 1990 (was devastaded DH was having an affair while i was home nursing our NB son,(we also had my daughter who was 5 then.) I'll spare you the details on my abusive marraige.
Came back home to florida,so a working single mom for yrs, stayed busy and had no love life,in fact i was the neighborhood babysitter so it seems as the other ladies went out on weekends : ( while i watched their kids! That hurt is a difficult thing,but you get through it.
My mother was very ill for 2 to 3 yrs back in 95-98, it's a hard thing to watch a parent go through terminal cancer,but never giving up hope,someone gave me this amzing strength. In my mind i knew she needed me and there was no question i was going to be there no matter how hard it was to see her suffer and go through all the pain. God Bless my sweet loving Mother Donna Joan McLean 2/14/37-2/3/98.I Love you. Her birthday was perfect for she was all heart.
My father had to have a leg ampuitated in 2000-01,him and my brother lived together 4 hrs away from me.
My brother who has a story of his own had severe eye problems due to the past,well he decided he didn't want to be here anymore. My father called me and the ambulance was there and i heard over the phone,my dad asked is he ok,and then a man said i'm sorry to have to inform you sir but he is dead.I screamed and can't remember much after that,but going down there with my 1/2 sis and my daughter and son to find that my brother took my papas gun and its what he used. no note or anything.Someone is helping me through this too. I love and miss him He was only 45 and my only brother Lamar Jackson McLean 12/8/58-7/18/04.
Only a little over a week after my father lost his only son he lost his home to Hurricane Charlie. (they help each other) papa said Lamar was his legs and he was his eyes.
Just recently been treated with medical depression, I went through my entire life with depression,so for about 43 yrs,i'm now 44.
It saddened me to start off with thinking no one in my family not even my own husband reconised my problem. Guess alot of people still don't. But let me say it is so very real, you don't have to cry so hard eternally where it hurts, now i know the difference between it.
Now my only problem is the prescription i need to take does limit my energy.
I loved the idea of the auctions,as it gave me time for naps,but i couldn't keep it up due to the insertion fees. I have alot of great things,and my coupons too. Really do enjoy helping young families as I know the costs out there at the stores. Thats another way i think im blessed with,i keep finding all these cute clothes and things. You all really need to take a look (hinthint). I could use some prayers that things will be brighter. But I'm living proof that you can make it through so much more then you realise.
Even after all thats been going on these past few months,on this Thanksgiving Day I'm so thankful to be alive and to still be able to love the simplest of things in life. I do believe in faith and things happening for a reason and we meet certain people and situations to learn lessons even if we don't understand them yet. Just my thoughts.
Let's just give thanks today for all that we are blessed with and this wonderful country of ours, the Brave military men and women we have, God Bless them all and let them come back home to their families very soon. Thank you for all you do for us back home!!!!!!

HI IM NEW TO THIS SITE,BUT I READ YOUR "THREAD" AND WOW YOU HAVE QUITE A STORY OF TRAGIC EVENTS! I CAN RELATE -MY MOMS ILL TOO. NOT TERMINAL (YET) BUT I KNOW IN MY HEART OF HEARTS THAT SHE WONT HAVE A LONG LIFE,AND THAT SCARES THE HE*L OUT OF ME .SHE IS MY BEST FRIEND . SHE'S MY CONFODON ,SHE'S MY EVERYTHING (NEXTS TO MY KIDS) .SHE TOO SUFFERS FROM SEVERE DEPRESSION (MOST OF MY FAMILY DOES) . MY BIG BRO IS IN PRISON -THAT ABOUT KILLED ME AND HER . HE MADE A STUPID MISTAKE B/C OF MONEY PROBLEMS . BUT THEY STUCK IT TO HIM -GAVE HIM 10YRS . BUT WE ARE PRAYING THAT HE CAN GET OUT WAY EARLY . HE GOES UP FOR PAROLE IN APRIL (HE'S BEEN IN FOR A YEAR) AND I THINK HE HAS LEARNED HIS LESSON. SO I HOPE THE PAROLE BOARD THINKS SO TOO! I ALSO HAD MY X-STEPDADS BEST FRIEND WHO WAS ALSO OUR MECHANIC AND FRIEND -KILL HIMSELF . DEPRESION HE THOUGHT EVERYONE WAS CONSPIRING AGAINEST HIM (EVEN HIS BEST FRIENDS) BUT B/F HE DID IT I HAD SEEN HIM A WEEK EARLIER AND HE SEEMED FINE AND THE NIGHT B/F HE DID IT HE WAS PLAYING W/ MY 5YR OLD NIECE(MY BIG BRO'S GIRL) SO IT WAS A CHOICE HE MADE IN A SAD MOMENT -THAT EVEYONE ELSE HAS TO LIVE W/.I'VE ALWAYS HEARD IF YOU COMMITT SUICIDE YOU DONT GO TO HEAVEN ---I SIMPLEY DONT BELIEVE THAT , I THINK IF YOU ARE MENTALLY ILL ,OUR GOD MAKES EXCEPTIONS HE IS A FORGIVING GOD .
