Cancer, My Father

My father found out that he has cancer spots on one of his lungs. When he first found out they were growing larger repidly. the last drs. visit he had, they had not grown at all. We are hoping and praying that it will stay like that for a while. We know that when it gets to bad he will have to have a piopsy but he refuses to do so. He believes that once you open it up, within 6mths it kills you. He has heard many stories of this happening. He says that when god is ready to take him , he will. My father is 55yrs old and too young to go. Please, all that reads this, pray that it will stay like it is for a while. I believe in prayers and I know it will help.

Wow...thoughts and prayers coming your way, Melody. My grandfather goes on Thursday for this same thing. There is a spot on his lung and the doctors are going to be running some tests to find out what it is. I sure hope it's nothing to worry about.

Hope all works out for the best for both. With advances in care-cancer doesn't have to be the end. Spend time doing your own research and alternatives, and don't listen to what the doctor only wants to do-ask around.

You and your family will be in my prayers....Your dad is right though no doctors can really do the healing it is totally left up to God they gave my FIL 3 months and he lived 17 so take any time and cherish it keep us posted please...God Bless

Please, Please don't get discouraged, last year on August 23rd, I had a cardinoid tumor on my right middle lobe, they removed the lobe and I am doing fine! I admit it was very painful but I feel pretty darn good now.

Melody I will keep you in my prayers... my mom had lung cancer and had surgery in Sept. 2002... she is now going through chemo for liver cancer and is only 52. It is very important to try to stay positive for your dad and as hard as it is try to smile for him and laugh with him..
