This just rec'd from an e-mail friend. I don't know this young man personally, but prayer doesn't care about THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all, I need MAJOR prayers for Brownie's son Nick. He was in a terrible accident last nite.

He had his 4-wheeler in the back of his truck, headed to the river. He was sitting in the truck right across from his house when someone shot a bottle rocket under the 4-wheeler. This caused it to blow up, blowing the back window out of the truck. Nick has been flown to St. Louis to the burn hospital. He has 3rd degree burns from the top of his head to his thighs. They have him on a ventilator because he is having difficulty breathing. They also have him sedated. As you all know, Nick has a type of kidney disease, we've all prayed for him before. This situation will not be good on his kidneys, and there is possibility that these burns can do more damage because of the meds. His kidneys just can't handle this. Nick just turned 18 last month.



I'm asking you from the bottom of my heart to say a prayer for my best friend and her family as they go thru something horrible....again.

I just talked to Brownie, here's the latest....



The swelling has gotten so bad that they have had to cut slits in his arms, neck and head. The drs are afraid that his kidneys can't handle the pressure and all the fluids that they are pushing in him. She was fixing to go in and see him when I got off the phone with her. I found out there were 2 girls in the truck with him, and they were both injured, but not as bad as Nick.. 1 of the girls is the daughter of Brownies Best Friend. So please be saying a prayer for them too.



Guys Cindy is holding tough but this has really put a heavy burden on her heart. She told me she was ok, and my reply was....I don't believe you....I got her ya you are right laugh, so please ask God to give her some peace.



As a mother my heart breaks for her, I can't imagine being in her shoes right now. She's had such a hard fight with Nick's life, her Husbands life and her Dads.



Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and for taking a moment to think of her and her family.

Elaine, Below is an e-mail from the friend, who knows the 18 year old that was badly burned on the 4th of July, with the bottle bomb that was thrown on his truck, under his four wheeler an blowing up.......Just wanted to keep you posted an Thank You for the Prayers, Please continue, I believe God is really working in our lives, even over the internet.....Thanks again, M.

HI all, I talked to Brownie today. They had to sedate Nick again (vent is breathing for him again) but only because he was biting the tubes and getting to fidgity and restless trying to talk to Brownie.

Plus they were concerned that him breathing on his own would wear him out too much to be able to handle some precedures on Monday.

They are going to try and clean the burns and she said they were going to do something to his upper eyelids, can't remember what sorry (*blonde pills*). Was something about them shrinking from the burns.

Anyways, his kidneys are doing good, I told her, "Well, he's taking his meds and getting catherized" and she laughed and said yes that is true, so I was able to get a good laugh out of her which made me smile.

Her sister, bor-in-law and their sons are there this weekend with them, their oldest son is probably Nicks best friend, so I think that will do them all some good.

Keep the prayers going, MM shared a verse with us the other day, and I've been repeating it to myself all day long over everything, not just Nick and Brownie. I want to share it with you.... Matthew 21:22... And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith."

Awful, awful, awful!!! People just don't think about the consequences of their actions much, do they?

We will certainly pray for Nick and his family. We will also pray that someone comes forward with the information needed to find the person responsible for this - they need to be held accountable!

Here is the latest on the young man Nick, we're all happy but he still has a long way to go, at least they aren't ashamed to Praise God, and give him the "Glory", that is when I talk to them, he knows its in God's Hands, and that's what counts, Please continue praying for him, Lotsa Love, Mar

Just got word from Brownie.....Nicks ventilator is OUT OUT OUT!!!!!!! woohooo
She is suppose to give me a call tonite and let me know how he's doing. Had some regrafting on his back this morning.

Nick talked today!!!!!! They were putting elbow splints on and he said....."Dang that hurts"
Cindy was sooooo happy when she called me. They said that if he does good then they will let him set up some tomorrow and maybe stand up if he can. Keep sending good thoughts and prayers for them, the journey has just begun!!!!!
