I am just going to say a prayer....
I do not care if it is not politically correct. I am just going to say a prayer for our country every day.
I have read all our posts here at DOD concerning the possilbe war in Iraq. I have read all about how many of you think Bush is a monster or that he is stupid. I have read how many celebs are putting our country and our president down and sabotaging our nation. I have read how many of you feel we are crazy to defend the world from terrorism by maniacs.
I have read enough here. I have heard enough on the news. I have had it. I am so sad.
I am just going to get down on my knees and pray that God takes care of our country. I am going to forget about all that has been said here and after I post this you will not see anymore comments from me about this situation.
God bless America. God stay close to our President and our servicemen and guide them. God comfort the grieving who have lost loved ones to terrorism and will do so in the future.
I feel better already. I put the whole thing in the hands of someone who can handle it. That is all I have to say, ever again, on this subject.

...and I thank God everyday that we have people willing to put their life, WHOLE life, on the line for me and everyone I love in order to TRY and keep our Nation as safe as possible. My husband is safe by my side and I by his because someone's spouse, son or daughter is fighting for US.

I just hope we get through this war without many casualties. That's what really bothers me about war. I think about all of the families out there who have lost loved ones in previous wars, and now here we are, going to war again.

I agree totally. we do need to talk about it and share our worries and fears. It is not good to keep it inside. Our country is in God's hands now. I pray every day for him to watch over our country and to be with each and every one risking their life for us. I also pray for him to give the president the wisdom to do what is best for our country. Most of all I thank God for being there for us.

But all that is happening in this world is in the Bible.

LOL I am not surprised someone appears offended I would mention the word prayer...but the post is not a prayer but a statement about my feelings toward all the discussion of war with Iraq and all the negative things that have been said here at DOD and around the world.
The forum you mention is for prayer requests and such. I am not requesting that anyone else prays for anything.

At the risk of sounding sacrilegious, PUT DOWN THE BIBLE! It is not the forecaster of the END TIMES....! Why would God negate FREE WILL by laying out the END of THE WORLD in His Bible...? Don't you read The Bible for solace and comfort, not words of doom and despair? And what constantly amazes me, if you believe the world is ending in a colossal battle in Israel, WHY, WHY, WHY do you have children? Grandchildren? What is their Future, if the World ends? PLEASE, in this "in God's hands" thread, answer this question...

As a religious person, I can honestly answer your question: I have 4 beautiful children because God has blessed me with them. God willing, they will grow up and have children of their own. Even in the worse case scenerio, with my beliefs, my children will die and go to Heaven. As will I. As will many many people. I believe that God can handle anything, and when I am troubled I find peace in putting my worries in God's hands. Life on Earth, to a religous person, is just part of the journey.
I only started this thread to "wash my hands" of further discussion with you. It is obvious you are vehement in your beliefs and I feel future discussion between us is futile.
I think you are referring above to the posts that were responses to mine. I cannot speak for their beliefs about how the world will end and where. I have only responded with my beliefs.

well said chippers everyone has their own beliefs and no one should be put down or rediculed because of their beliefs. I gave birth to 4 children and have an adopted son also. I am truly blessed to have my children and grand children. When the time comes, we will be united in Heaven. If one should believe different than me, so be it. This is what I believe. And I also believe God is there for anyone at any time.

and, sorry, I will not put my Bible down. May God be with you and each and everyone of us in these trying times.

I do not claim to be perfect nor do I try to shove my beliefs on other people. I am just saying what I BELIEVE. I know some of my beliefs are different than others. God doesn't expect us to all be the same. And yes, I make mistakes, many of them...but God forgives.

And couldn't it be possible that Bush is a mistake? That he stole the Presidency in Florida, and has created a dire future for Americans? When can you admit that Bush has been BAD for OUR Country and the WORLD? How many die (Iraqis, other Middle Easterners, Americans) before you can see that the EVIL is in our backyard? Some of you may dismiss me "wash my hands") but the WORLD is WATCHING us, and knows we are destroying WORLD PEACE...and any efforts to attain that goal. So that your children and children's children do not have the world GOD (in all religious conceptions) created...OPEN your eyes, and do not accept this WAR or any war as God's will...NO, it is BUSH'S WILL...

And by the way mods...this post is not a request for prayers at all. It was simply a response to other posts about the possible war in Iraq.
I repeat, I am NOT requesting anyone to pray. Was it too controversial to be in general chit-chat? Then I guess I will just not hang out there anymore....way too politically correct for me. See you around.

fREEDOM OF SPEECH,RELIGION,ETC..and everyone I said EVERYONE has the right to their own beliefs and let me tell you right here and now GOD is my belief if he hadn't given his only son to die on the cross to save you and me and everyone else where would you be? If you do not believe in God and his word then you need to be elsewhere This is God's country and God's people. If you choose to not accept that then its your right and your own disbeliefs to your own final destination buy you have NO RIGHT to try to make anyone believe that the Bible is not a way of knowing because it is...Have you read the bible lately? I would assume not because the Bible tells what is going to happen from begining to end....I believe in my bible and my God I hope someday you will too before its too late
