Mike McFarland

This is Mike McFarland, one of George's sons in law. He's been in terrible back pain and this is the latest news we have. Could be a long road for them. He is in his early 30s.

Ok, we did the MRI and according to the radiologist, there is a small
herniation in the disc between L4 and 5 in his lower back. BLAH! Not news
we wanted to hear.

So, we are now working on getting a referral to an orthopedic doc...

I hope Mike feels better soon, it must be tough dealing with the pain on an everyday basis. I will keep him in my thoughts.

The latest thing the medical people are saying is that "these things" usually will heal well with a week or two of rest.
NOW...we need to pray that Mike inderstands what REST actually is!!

Cayting, I know how difficult it is to deal with chronic back pain and I pray that Mike will be healed whether it be through physical therapy or surgery. I had surgery and I feel so much better. I also hope that he will take it easy as well.
