| Please pray for my cousin, Loretta Please say a prayer for my cousin, Loretta. She just found out last week that she has a brain tumor. I do not know what kind of tumor she has, but will be finding out soon. The doctor's believe it is malignant and very aggressive. Her family will be having a consultation with the doctor hopefully today. My cousin and her family has been through so much. Her father died from a heart attack just 2 months ago and she is still grieving his loss. The whole family is just devastated and so scared. Please pray that she will be healed! Thank you so much. | This was one of my readings today..... "You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word." Psalm 119.114

| Thank you all so much. Unfortunately, the tumor was malignant and she had most of it removed. She also started radiation just this week. Last week, they discovered she formed a blood clot in her leg. They told her she could come back into the hospital or if someone could inject a shot in her stomach every day, she could stay home. She opted to stay home and her sister said she would give her the shot. Personally, I would have gone to the hospital. I have never heard of such a thing. They also put her on cumaden...sp? Well, I'll tell you...my cousins are very funny people! Apparently, everytime Loretta's sister went to inject the needle into her stomach, Loretta would instinctively push her sister's hand away. Well I guess it became so comical that her sister [Shirley] was laughing at first, then she finally said..."stop it!" Then Loretta's mother came in the room to see what was going on and when she saw Loretta kept pushing Shirley's hand away, she said...."for goodness sakes Loretta, you just had brain surgery and you acted like it was nothing...what is the problem?" And Loretta's answer was so funny....she said...."well, it wasn't Shirley performing the surgery!!!" Isn't that so funny! At least she hasn't lost her sense of humor. I wouldn't trust one of my sister's giving me a shot in the stomach either. But, like I said, I would have high tailed it back to the hospital! Thank you all for your prayers. I wish I had better news, but hopefully the radiation will work. I know she opted to not do chemo, but I haven't gotten all the details. I am hoping to visit her soon and will learn more about how her treatment is going. Thanks again. Lori __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. | This may sound odd, but I was wondering if you all could also pray for me to have a closer relationship with God. Tonight, after reading all the posts in this forum, I truly did pray for everyone listed. I just feel bad that sometimes I get really cynical about prayer. I'm not feeling that way tonight, but I know I can fall into this trap pretty easily. With my cousin's illness, I am trying to be optimistic, but sometimes it's hard. Lori |

| Oh my....you are NOT alone with this problem!!!! It is SOOOOOO hard to keep our eyes/hearts/minds on the spiritual things when we have to live in a physical world....every thing (and alot of the "everyones") around us pull us this way and that. Almost daily, I have to tell myself that God IS in control, no matter what it looks like. The days I forget are some of the bad ones for me. In my "many" (smile!!!) years, I have seen (you know hind sight is always 20-20, right??) we only seem to learn and begin to trust God a bit more when we go through something awful, or painful, or extremely sad....we just roll on when everything is going smoothly. Bless you for being honest enough to share your thoughts and feelings (oh,.......have also finally figurted out my feelings can't always be trusted...like "I don't feel God is listening" or "I don't feel like I can do anything right" etc...etc...etc.....). Just tell Him what's happening...He wants our conversation...no "necessary" posture or written words...unless these help you contact Him. Remember...He understands it all!!! Love and prayers and thanks....... elaine __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links.
