It was MyPoints that explained (back last year in a newsletter) that Max will be in Earn Points if he is anywhere on site.

And, this morning, I saw him in Earn Points, so came over here to see if someone had him pinpointed. Thanks to OP for saving me the search through Shopping categories.

Why do you say "not so"? The system works... and how else would MP members who do not use this type of board even know about the existence and benefits of Max?

I was a little confused too. I'm guessing the confusion came from if I remember correctly someone saying that if you don't see his "logo" in Earn Points, you won't find him in Shopping. But everytime I have gone to look for him, his little "logo" is in Earn Points (not clickable for points, just his logo to let people know who he is), whether or not he is to be found for points in Shopping, or not. In other words I don't think there is any way to know whether he will be on the site or not, other than clicking on all the Shopping categories and hoping for the best.

Ah, OK, I see the problem. If he's on the site for points, he will be shown on the Earn Points/Visit Web Sites page **with a link to Shopping categories** -- not just the generic Max graphic, but a little box with text and link below, looks a lot like the regular "visit this casino site" boxes that are there all the time.

If the "Max with clickable link" doesn't show up on Earn Points/Visit Web Sites screen, then he is not on site for points at that time.

But, again, just think about it -- if you were a MyPoints member who didn't participate in any of these independent forums, if all you did was visit MP site -- how else would you know about Max and his point possibilities if he weren't explained on the Earn Points/Visit Web Sites screen?
