If you're having identical problems at multiple websites, it is most likely your browser/system. Sometimes mine gets to a point where links won't work, pages not found, etc., and a simple reboot (restart Windows) will fix the problem. If rebooting doesn't help and you are having consistent, identical problems, then you might need to uninstall and reinstall your browser. Download a new browser installation file before you uninstall, and reboot between the uninstall and the new installation. Be sure to use the "uninstall" procedure, don't just delete system files. If you aren't comfortable doing any of this, then try to get someone to help you. It's not hard, but can be intimidating the first few times -- the system keeps asking you "are you sure you want to do this?" and you start doubting yourself! Good luck! |

I had the same problem a few months ago when I installed IE 6.0 Well, guess what? There is a serious bug in the way it handles security. The data is being sent with 0-bit encryption. You can verify the problem this way: Help, About Internet Explorer. Do you see the value for Cipher Strenght? It is probably zero. The correct value should be 128. Many of these rewards sites require this cipher strength value! Also, any banking or financial sites. Microsoft, on their own web site, admits this problem. Their "fix" is rather complicated and I don't remember all the details of how I reverted to IE 5.5. And NO, you can't just install an older version of IE onto that machine and you can't delete IE 6 Sorry to tell you this, but you may need professional help (your computer, that is). The esaiest solution might be to get and install another browser (Netscape). |

The "fix" is obtained by visiting Microsoft's web site and following their directions. The procedure is a little more involved than just a patch file to download and then, [poof] magically it's resolved. I will look into it further. As I mentioned, this happened to me several months ago and Microsoft may have a newer version of IE 6 out. |

This happened so many months ago, but I was able to find the same page that explains the problem. Check: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] You must first verify that your IE 6's cipher strength is zero before trying the fix. As my own system was so screwed up by other software, I recall I had to do additonal steps (which I am very fuzzy about now). Good Luck ! |
