Do you prefer to earn points or to save money? When I bought my last computer, I went through ebates and got another $50 off my best price by buying through one of their vendors. MyPoints is in its "double points" promotion period so that makes them a great, if not best, points-earning site right now (just feeling/opinion, not statistical fact). Most important, get the computer you want and need -- you'll have to live with its performance long after the glow of points/money saved is gone... I think I remember the post you are talking about, will see if I can look and bump it up for you too. OK, rather than bump the thread, here's the link (credit to reford, the OP): [Only registered and activated users can see links. Thanks. I forgot about my points double. I also forgot my CC does not have enough for the one I called about. ![]() My son gave me his CC to order, but I don't think it will work thru my points or ebates, which is an option. Now what? lol Thanks for the link also. I got it done, with out CC. Office Depot has a check option. DUH Went through my points, got a compaq, with a $50 rebate. Double points. Not too bad. WE were going to pick it up at store any way. I hope the cs I talked to knows what he is talking about: SPEED
