Love How to earn 500+ points on Primarewards Every Day

I'm assuming at least SOME of you do Primarewards, so I thought I'd share my tip with you all.

I know I shared last week that you can earn 20 points for each eBay bid you make and you can make as many bids as you want in a day. Well, here is how you take advantage of that offer.

When you go to eBay, search for rediculously expensive items. Search for cars, computer scanners, digital video cameras, HDTVs, etc.

Click on the "Lowest Priced" tag, after you've searched, so that you see the lowest priced items first.

Usually, there is a seller that starts out these really expensive items at $.01 or $.99. You can either be the first bidder on these items or the second. Primarewards will reward whether you were the winning bidder or if you were immediately outbid. So, bid the minimum amount if someone has already bid on the item, and usually you will be immediately outbid.
That's it. It takes a little time, but it's worth it if you have it. Hope this helps somebody.

Do you have to click through the eBay banner on Prima everytime you place a bid, or just the one time?

Thanks for the tip!

Yes, I should have mentioned that. Each time you bid, you have to close the window and click on the Primarewards eBay banner in order to get points for bidding again.

Thanks for asking.

Points have not shown up yet and on most of the bids that I placed, I was outbid. Do I have to have my email address at eBay the same as the one I signed up for at Prima??

For that one, I don't know. I never thought about it, but my email address is the same across both. I always get an email when they credit my account with the eBay points, so if you aren't getting emails, that may be the problem. I'd go to customer support or their forum and ask there.

Big grin

I got emails today that I had points awarded to my account....320 of them. Now I just hope that I don't win 4 of those bids at $.06. I bid in jewelry, now I am going to worry until I get an outbid notice. I think I'll go to the higher priced stuff today.

So, I got the answer to my question that I don't have to have my Prima Reward address to bid as long as I go through the site.

Thanks again!

Just to answer/clarify on a few points:

1. You must click on the eBay link and then place a bid to get credit for a bid. You must repeat this process for each subsequent bid if you'd like to place more then one and want to receive Prima Points for each bid.

2. eBay points are reported to us with about a 1 hour delay (often less). We load them into our system at least once each business day so worse case is you will get them next business day. In reality, we load 2 - 3 times per day, weekends included, so most of the time they are credited much sooner.

3. I'd like to encourage you to bid as frequently as desired and on as many items as desired, however, would like to discourage you bidding on anything your not interested in. I'd also encourage users to be considerate of sellers and this means not placing bids on Buy It Now optioned auctions because sellers pay for this priviledge and it disappears/ends as soon as a bid is placed (there are some exceptions, the point is made though, be courteous to the sellers). Of course interest can be relative I'd be interested in a new Microsoft XBox at $50 or less but not at near retail prices. The odds of actually winning something like this are slim to none, but the point being, I'd discourage you from biddng on an item you wouldm't actually be happy to get for the price you bid that item at.

4. The e-mail address on your eBay account or whether or not you joined eBay through Prima Rewards is irrelevant. If you follow the guidelines given in the recent announcement and/or in our announcement forums and your computer accepts and reports cookies properly, you will get credit for your bid.

For that matter, very few of our offers require e-mail addresses to match. We discourage advertisers and merchants from tracking based on e-mail address. So if you would like to use an e-mail address other then your main one for registering or completing offers on our site, you're welcome to do that (except where we tell you otherwise and we will let you know if it needs to match), however, you must not abuse advertisers/merchants (this means it needs to be a real address that is checked periodically).

Just wanted to add my agreement. I avoid bidding first on Buy It Now options like the plague. Thanks, Scott.

btw, a little birdy dropped by and whispered in my ear that there might be another increase in points per bid tomorrow on eBay auctions

Watch your e-mail or our announcements forum for the specifics.

I agree in not bidding willy-nilly?, but who wouldn't want a 3 caret ring for a $1.00, though the likelihood of that happening is slim. I had forgotten things COULD be bought so cheaply sometimes though. I had been looking for a book, and I found bids starting at 25% of new. I've been bidding on them and clothes for my 2 yr old. If you get it cheaply enough, you win both ways: one, you get something you really wanted cheaply and two, you get points for doing it.
