Heard about this site, wagerworks.com, while browsing a travel board. Thought it would be great for those planning to attend the DOD meeting in Las Vegas. You play casino-like games to earn prizes redeemable in Vegas. I don't benefit from this in anyway, but was hoping some of you could benefit from it. I did do a search and couldn't find any other posts regarding this site. Anyhow, hope some of you can use it! [Only registered and activated users can see links. Thanks for the heads up. My husband and I are going to LV in March and it looks promising that we can have a freebie or two by then! Anyone else know any other site for Vegas freebies?? |

For those of you who aren't able to travel to Las Vegas and live in the Gulf South, the Beau Rivage is in Biloxi, Mississippi. While gambling is not one of my passions, the food, atmosphere and facilities at the Beau Rivage are first rate. The Beau Rivage is located in the heart of the Biloxi/Gulfport casino strip, the number three gambling destination in the United States (behind Las Vegas and Atlantic City). If you don't gamble, there are plenty of other attractions on the Gulf Coast, including beaches, sport fishing, golf, historical museums, and cultural attractions. Even if you can't make it to Vegas, you could still use Wagerworks to earn a nice little vacation on the Gulf Coast. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now. I just couldn't resist the opportunity to promote Mississippi... P.S. For more information on the casino, visit [Only registered and activated users can see links. It seems like an interesting place. Some questions: are the points you acquire good at any of the places, or do you have to acquire them "at" the casino you intend to use them at?? And Kate, you say that you only play for an hour or so a day - but you seem to be acquiring them at 300 an hour, and that would mean you play 5 games a minute - much too fast. Is there another trick to acquiring points??? Otherwise, after about 6 months or so, maybe I'll have enuf for a room. Thanks for the post. |

Another trick is to hack into their server and give yourself 100000 prize points. ![]() Also, you have to remember most of the room prizes are for the low times (i.e. sunday-thursday, and some are for friday). don't expect to redeem them on weekends since people are willing to pay for rooms then so they don't offer the prize rooms then.

I'm at over 1500 points for two accounts (one for me, one for my husband) after only a couple of days of playing in the background. I'm actually aiming for the buffets, though, since you can actually get rooms for not much more than the buffets cost. I want to get the Bellagio buffet, which cost $23.95 each. Our room (for tue-thursday) at the hilton is only costing us $54 per night, and that includes two tickets to Star Trek (worth $25 each), and a meal at Quarks bar (worth at least $10 I would surmise). So we're only spending $20 a night for our room--less than the buffet! And at only 3000-5000 points, I'm hoping to get two buffets each by March when we go. That's still fewer points than one night's stay. Just my humble bargainer's opinion. :-) I'm so happy I have this board!! |
