Rolling eyes How can I do this? HELP!

Ok I want to use all my points gc's to buy a playstation 2 for my husband and son.....

I looked for a store that they all had in common and it looks like Amazon.com

I have two supercertificates from milesource
two webbies from mypoints
then I'm going to use the cash from surveys and stuff (on my visa)

I saw this at the bottom of the webcert site:

*At most online stores, Webcertificate Account funds cannot be combined with other forms of payment to purchase items.

Does anyone know if I am going to be able to do this? I will have two gc #'s to amazon.com

can I combine the webbies into one account and add the cash from my visa?

I'm soooooo confused... I guess that's what I get for trying to get this for free!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

What I've done in this kind of situation is to trade the Supercerts for PayPal with someone at this "garage sale" board:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

I can send you the email of a woman on the board who I've done lots of exchanges with. Typically you can get 80-90-% in PayPal of the face value of your Supercert (Email me at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] for her address. She is very trustworthy.) I don't know if she trades for webbies, she may. Otherwise you can find someone on the board who will.

If you don't have Paypal already, I think they give you $5 for signing up. So you'd get another $5 to spend at Amazon for the Playstation.

Good luck,
Mary

To the best of my knowledge, you can combine the following for a single Amazon purchase:

1. Unlimited number of true gift certificates (to find out if it's a "real" GC vs. a promotional GC, try adding it to your Amazon account while shopping cart is empty. You can't add a promo GC unless something is in cart -- you CAN add any number of real GC's and have a positive balance sitting in your Amazon account with no purchase pending).

2. Only one promotional code (this is the "$5 off $35" type code seen on this board and others).

3. Only one credit-card type payment. WebCertificate is like a credit card -- it has a MasterCard style number, expiration date, etc. You should be able to combine all your Webbies into one account, but if you still don't have enough money in that account to complete the payment, you can't use a second credit card at Amazon to pay the balance.

What you CAN do is add to your WebCertificate account, for a service charge of $1 per transaction. For example, if you are $20 short on your Amazon purchase, add $21 to your Webbie account using your other credit card. WebCert will take $1 as a fee and your Webbie balance will increase by $20, giving you enough to pay for the Amazon purchase.

There's more about WebCerts in the Amazon HELP screens, under "Types of Payment We Accept/More..." It sounds as if you can add to your Webbie during the Amazon transaction, so you will know exactly how much is needed. Remember that $1 service charge -- during my first Webbie transaction, I misunderstood and ended up $1 short of what I needed in my account... Good luck!

P.S. The Amazon GC that you will get in exchange for a Super Certificate is a "real" GC -- I just got an Amazon GC for a SuperCert, and I was able to deposit the Amazon GC into my account and draw on it for multiple purchases, so yours will work fine for what you are trying to do.
