Has anyone had any experiences or hints on upromise? I found out about it about 5 months ago. It provides you contributions to a college fund for your children (or grandchildren or other relatives) for only purchasing certain items. They find out about your purchases through your credit card purchases or supermarket card. It costs nothing, and the contributions are automatic. We even received $3.00 for a LLBean purchase (I'm not sure if we received it because we forgot to go through e-bates [which was only $2.00] or if it was in addition to an e-bates refund).
